Bleh. I'm surprised this doesn't interest anybody.
I believe I've been a victim of MMO addiction...but I got over it. And now my attention span when it comes to MMOs is relatively close to a goldfish's.

I play/ed a lot of MMO's and I've always been able to quit immediately.
I quit wow without a problem, silkroad and guild wars.
I never had real addiction problems that I didn't do school because of gaming, I didn't do school because I cba to do it
I think I sound like an addict when I say: "I can stop whenever I want to, I just don't want to" but it's true

I was addicted to MMO's, it didnt make me stop school and stuff. But it ate up all my free time, didnt want to do anything other than gamin 
. but then i saw an documentary on TV on addiction and effect, next day i gave away all my items and just broke the disks of the game, deleted all downloads, blocked all MMO sites. Happy that i did that i must say
