****SPOLIERS****
i cant stress this enough, if you have seen up to season 4 episode 10, then its ok for you to keep reading, otherwise dont or you will spoil the show for yourself ok.
Also am using "inviso" text, what that means is that after this point you have to highlight to read anything.
Well, at the end of the episode 10 (mid season break) they find a pretty smashed up ruins of New York City and radiated soil. Now from the radiated soil we can assume that it was nukes that destroyed earth and ruined/taken out all of man kind and the cities.
Now here is were things get interesting when you sit down and really think about it, and so am going to break it down into 5 steps
1=the ruins seen of New York City are old....i mean OLD, there is nothing left of them at all and they could be even as old as 3000 years judging from whats left, now whats strange is that the Colonial scriptures talk about the path to earth and how to get their...how could they unless someone from earth went back and told them?
2=In the show we are lead of believe that the 13 colonies all started on Kobal and went out their own ways into space, 12 heading towards the 12 colonies and the 13th towards earth on the other side of the galaxy, but why head out so far into space for? and why are their 13 colonies and not more or less?
3="All this has happened before and all this will happen again" well its something we have heard a lot in the show and no shit sherlock ok. and why? well heres what i think, the big big spolierness. Earth, the 13th colony didnt leave Kobal to go their....they came from their, along with the other 12 colonies.
4=Same with the final 5 cylons, i think before they left Earth human built the "human" form cylon final 5 to watch over earth and to follow their path and lead them back to earth once the planet was habitable again (its why they know the way to earth, because they were "built" their). And after 3000 years they follow the path set by the 13 ships that left earth and headed into space to lead them back. Also at one point the Cylon technology was "rediscover" on the colonies and so started all over again.
Yea thats rights, you heard me right earth undergoes a nuclear war and the survivors realizing that the planet can no longer support them selves build space ships and leave into deep space, now assuming they don't have FTL drvies its a LONG trip, along the way we can guess their were 13 ships, each ship which was full of a diverse bunch starts to develop their mini-cultures and laws aboard each ship and after enough time each ship becomes like its own race. Along the way they leave sign posts, record what they have discovered and leave markers so they can head back to earth if need be. and finally after so long in space they come to kobal and settle. (we can assume all that time in space and heading towards constellations that are in Greek mythology would of altered the way their societies developed while traveling in space for so long, after 100's of years they believed in the Greek gods again )
but it doesnt last for long, the peace that is. yes its good to finally be on a planet, but after being on their ships for so long the 13 groups have now become like 13 different people and so war breaks out (why? maybe not enough room for the 13 "tribes" or maybe because the 13 wanted to go back home and the others didnt), finally they realize that they cannot copy like this and so leave, 12 of the groups towards 12 planets near by and the 13th went back to earth...back home, its why the path to earth is known by the 12 colonies and why they predicted they would go back to earth. Because its their home and its something they always planned. so yes "All this has happened before and all this will happen again", well it is. Because just like before the human race is leaving to travel back across the stars
