Do you think it is okay to hit your chilidren sometimes?
I mean ... if he is 3 years old and puts his finger in power port/wall jack ...
I think you should hit him then , he wouldnt do it ever again. (for his own safety)

What do you guys think ... is it okay to hit children sometimes?
EDIT: What if your child is taking drugs ? ... I dont think that talking with him / talking with psychiatrist would make him stop ...?

~I think that I asked this question in wrong forum ... since almost noone has/had kids here (Teenager kids) ...
Btw ... by "Kid" I mean anything beetween 1-18 years ... and I dont mean hit as brutally beat him ...

I'm asking this because ... I was raised by my father and mother mostly (me and my older brother) ... My father hitted me alot when I didnt listen , but honestly I am really greatful that he done that ... and I'm proud of myself what I am today , and how I act ...

After my parents divorced , my mother (pregnant) , me and my brother went to live at my grandma's place ... And my little brother got to this world, and he was basiclly raised by my grandma ...

Now he is spoiled and doesnt listen, he crys everytime, because of stupid things, but I know if my father raised him , the things would be alot diffrent ...

If your an adult, and you still fear your mother, she did a good job raising you

I has Asian parents.

My parents never hit me. Always talked to me whenever i behaved bad.

I believe there's no reason to hit a lil kid.

my neighbors have a 5 or 6 year old kid. And i've never seen them hitting him, instead they tell the kid like "stop doing that or pam pam!"<--- sounds cuter. I guess they once hit him, and when they say that their kid just stops doing whatever he's doing.

Nah, it's just that some parents (like mine) gave up on it cuz me and my sisters are three terrible kids...

I think its wrong IMO.. My parents have never hited me. Just grabed me sometimes when i was younger..

another thing is that i done things like sticking things in to the outlet.... when i was a freshmen i use to tape paperclips on to plastic pens, and put it in the outlet, it would make a dazzeling light show and it wont kill me since the pen doesn't conduct electricity, but i still got burned from the sparks

NEVER got to my grandmas house in the carribeans. Spanish people over there are STRICT. I remember my cousin did something really bad she took like this branch from a tree and started hitting him. They switch between belts/leaves.

But i was never hit just like grabbed by arm and slap
