Talked my way out of a 110 mph ticket...

So starting driving back home from hanging out with my friend, and my mom is Farking pissing me off (calling me every 5 seconds saying where are you).

So I'm at the stoplight on an expressway (speedlimit 45 mph). So I decide I'll just gun it and get home as fast as possible... yeah stupid mistake.

The car peels out for like 3 seconds, and then I just start hauling ass all the way till I climb speeds around 110ish, then I see the flashing cop lights behind my car... For some odd Farking reason, I decide to brake, and the cop almost hits me, swerving to the other lane to miss me..

So I pull over on the nearest street.. cop yells at me to turn off my ignition, get out of the car, hands behind my head, approach slowly towards him... So I'm in front of his car, turned around, he comes and start yelling his ass off at me, saying I almost hit him and wtf was I thinking going those speeds.

He then handcuffs me and starts to pat me down, and then goes and checks my car. After that, he puts me in the back of his police vehicle. He then runs my driver license and my car through to system for any previous tickets or stuff.

So then this Farking other DOUCHE BAG power trip cop pulls over. Cop lets me out of the vehicle, and I am being as polite and respectful as possible, because they can TOTALLY **** me over. So I addressed the other cop as sir and stuff, and he goes "Do NOT talk unless you are spoken to, you UNDERSTAND?" Then he tells the cop who pulled me over to impound my car and take me in for booking.. The other cop says he will and hes got this covered, so the other cop leaves.

So then cop starts talking to me about what I did and how it affects other people too. He then uncuffs me and apologizes if he was a little rough earlier, he was just kind of scared because I almost caused an accident with him.

So then he asks where I go to school I just graduated high school) and asks where I'm going to college and my future plans. I tell him I'm going to a JC then transferring to Cal Poly Tech.. we start talking about colleges and the area of cal poly, then talk about the dunes near there, then off roading, and some other very random stuff. I ended up talking to the guy on the curb for like 40 minutes, mostly about the Iraq war and politics...

So then finally he told me that he is going to let me off extremely easy, and that he NEVER wants me pulled over ever again.. I shake his hand, thank him like no other and then left.

He could of impounded my car, I could of gotten a felony and went to jail, extremely high speeding ticket, my license could of been taken away for at least a year, and my parents would of killed me. Yaaaa.... lucky.

I punched a cop in the face and flirted my way out of it. Lucky he was gay.

I find it quite ironic that i read this thread right after the "nice guys finish last" thread. Shows that a bit of politeness goes a long way.

damn.. can't wait till I have my drivers licence... two more years... *sigh*

well... I think I'm a better driver then most people, and that I won't go speeding around...

But I do know that I won't be a safe safe safe safe driver, going through corners with 1 mph.

nice one.

i wish i could have done that with all my tickets too, but here we
just have the speed checking machines alongside the road (idk what
they are called in english), so no chance of talking me out of it.

Everyone says that. I said that too.

Once you get a car, especially if you get a somewhat fast car, you will speed.

I know I'm an idiot for going those speeds, but I just got so god damn lucky..

I hate it when people are mean to cops, I don't understand it. If you be polite to them, and understandable, they will lower the consequences or let you off with a warning... I got off with a very big warning..

streets here. last one cost me €120 :x

lucky you, you might not have gotten off if that other douchebag cop hadn't showed up and started telling your cop how to do his job. But yeah cops around here would pull you out of the car and give you a beating for that.

Finnish rules make more sense, you ticket depends on your income:
Guinness World Records wrote:Largest speeding fine
The world’s largest speeding fine is a €170,000 (£116,000) ($217,000) ticket given to Jussi Salonoja who was caught driving 80km/h (50mph) in 40km/h (25mph) zone in Helsinki, Finland in February 2004.

the guy's father owned a big sausage company

meh, i once biked over the street for like 20 meters (my mother actualy lives there, its the way i turn into the ally instead of having to cross the street again after), cop came out of nowhere and said i did it to avoid a red light, so i explain why i did it.
anyhow, he kept saying i did it to avoid the red light and i would get a ticket for biking through a red light....
no matter how many times i told the guy i dint bike through a red light, and i dint do it to avoid a red light, he still sent me the ticket.
i was so pissed when i saw it. it said i went through a red light >.< like wtf.

also, my mother let my little sister "drive" the last part of our street once, not many cars drive there, and it was like 20 meters, on her lap, and @ like 10 kmph. cop gave her a ticket for that 2 >.< pointless if you ask me.

so yea, i CAN understand why some ppl "mean" to cops.
it just depends on if you get the nice cop, or the bitch cop :P

In Belgium, they say: "De politie, uw vriend"

In english: "The cops, your friends" :P

Lol, I love it when I'm drunk, running around on the street, and yelling this at random cops passing, and then, when they come after you, and your not to drunk to run away, ruuuuun :P

WTF!? Thank god I don't live where you live. 110 in a 45 zone and cops will let people get away with it.

The cop knew how to do his job, 15 years as a cop. I have no idea why he didn't give me anything, I guess he felt really bad and knew what I did was just a stupid mistake.

That other cop just had a stick up his ass that was coming out through his mouth...

At 110 mph, if you really did get off, you're forgetting the part where you got on your knees and sucked both of them dry.
