It's not magic <.<, just slight of hands ect. You can't really make a card go from the top of the deck to the middle. Duplications or slight of hands and it being staged. Yuh.. its all fake and pointless.

How is it pointless?
The main thing isnt to make the spectator think you actually know magic but to grant him the illusion of it. Anyone with an IQ over 80 knows that what magicians do is just tricks.
Now may I ask what the difference betwen an actor and a magician is?
Both are acting, what they do is not real (actors dont really feel what the carracter feels) and its entertaining and I bet you dont think movies are pointless.

0l3n, hun; not to argue with you, but some actors are able to feel what their character feels, to a certain extent.

Well, your right about that. Still, the average actor cant.
Just trying to say that magic isnt pointless its entertaining.

It really is, IMO.
The ability of someone to do something that seems impossible, in your face, and have you pondering how they did it, is a pretty cool thing. Sometimes people are led to believe, by doubt and whatnot, that the magicians actually have special and/or 'mystical' powers. I like it.

The coolest thing about sleight of hand is that usually you can do it so slow and they still wont know what the hell happened.
I love seing the look on peoples faces when a face up card just pops up... priceless.
