FF is like that fat guy who's been a food critic for 30 years. Sure he has everything in him, but why not go for the veggie-eating Opera?

Because the fat guy doesn't go around telling everyone how awesome he is with a better-than-thou attitude.

because opera is not open source, so nobody cares

Cruor's post:
Lol, yes he does. But anywho, I believe FF's freedom to be improved by the community gives it an edge. But IMPE (In My Personal Experience) Firefox add-ons make the browser bulky, which on tends to slow the browser down.

Because a built-in BitTorrent client, mail client, etc. are completely weightless while add-ons are both forced and overweight, rite?

Not necessarily. Opera's widgets can get pretty demanding; specially if the user is running more than one at a time. As far as my vision extends, I have been able to see that Firefox(specially with add-ons) is more demanding than Opera(with widgets, or buit in features) that do basically the same thing.
