ok i hope this doesnt happen to you.
Yesterday when i came from gym, i cooked-watched tv-ate-srf-phone-went out-back home.
And somehow i was feeling this small pain on my back. I didnt pay attention to it until i went to sleep, and then it happened. I couldnt sleep

.... at all. 0% nada!
I tried all positions and this pain just didnt let me sleep. I tried to feel the area and when i touched there it didnt hurt. It's more like an inside pain?
I aint dying, but i must say this is really annoying since i couldnt get any sleep at all.
The only thing for sure is that i feel it inside of me, it wasnt a hit or a punch or i dont know cuz i know i havent had any of that

I'm moving around on my bed as i type this, cuz i cant stay still for 10 seconds. That silly pain just annoyes me and i wish i didnt have this back. I'm sleepy and i cant sleep

Where about is the pain on your back? If it is your kidney area, you might have a kidney infection, which is really painful.

see if you can find a muscle relaxant called robaxacet, for back pain. Relieved many a sport injury for me. It's available here in Canada without a prescription.

I know that feeling, and it's so annoying because you can't make it better or worse, it's just there, and you have to deal with it. Unless it's something serious (which it's not), then it'll go away after a while, you aren't going to get any sleep tonight though, so you should do whatever you want right now, and try and sleep when it goes away.
Good luck.

Sadly, I don't think there's much you can do about it (unless you buy sleeping pills, if you do though, only take 1, because they're addicting (or so I figure), when you get used to going to sleep in a minute, you're not going to want to wait for sleep anymore).
I'm trying to think of what I might have done last time I got it (I've had it like 2 or 3 times before, dunno why). I think I hit it once, and that made the whole area feel more uniform, so it doesn't really help, but if you're able to go to sleep with an outside pain better than an inside one, then that might help (no emo).
Hmmmmm... I dunno, sleeping pills might be best if you haven't slept for 24 hours. Just make sure not to get addicted!
Good luck.

i've had it last week. well at least, i think i had it. i got home from watching
some soccer match in the city, and i went into my room, sat down on my chair and
boom. instant pain-in-the-back. i was like wtf just happened o.o
what i did was i kept standing, because when i stood it hurt the least. then it
just kindof went away. very, very odd.
i hope you get better soon, and get the sleep you need amelie.

Wait hold on, cin just reminded me of something.
Is the pain like a warm pain that's not that bad, but it sure as hell keeps you from sleeping.
Or is it like a deathly painful pain that feels like your stomach is about to explode?
Depending on which one you have, there's good news and bad news.
The first one, well, it hurts alot less, but it lasts alot longer.
The second one, this one hurts like a bitch, but if you've had it as long as you say you've had it, then it'll go away soon enough.
Once again, good luck.

this topic makes me
leave the woman alone and she'll get better. I doubt lurking over srf is gonna do any good, the person that would've helped the most was Sylhana but he's gone.

it's not so much about helping her out professionally, since we know
there's nobody who knows exactly what's wrong. it's about supporting
her by wishing her the best. and lurking over srf is what she did,
we didn't ask her to.

Hey foo, Sylhana is here in memory. Besides me thinks she has him on MSN and has probably already consulted him.
Would you prefer something like this:
Sounds like a mild case of back pain. First take something to ease the pain, I would recommend Icy-Hot. That'll make it easier to endure as the pain might last awhile. If you want the pain to go away completely the take some Naproxen Sodium, works great for pain relief. This can be found over the counter at any Pharmaceutical store. Make sure to describe the pain and the general area. The pain should dissipate in 12 to 24 hours. For your sleeping problem, if the pain is the cause of the problem then your sleep pattern should return to regular after the pain goes away. If your inability to sleep is due to another factor I would recommend Sleeping pills. Make sure to consult your Doctor before purchasing any pills that may effect your day to day life. Common side-effects include Drowsiness and mild mood swings. If the pain persist seek professional help from your local pharmacy or your doctor. Don't take more than the recommended dose. I believe women over a certain age are at risk of stroke and heart disease. If you're pregnant avoid taking drugs without consulting with your doctor. Have a good one.

okay Amelie: here's what you do to have a nice night sleep tonight, in case the pain comes back.
Grab your walker and shuffle your granny ass over to the supermarket. buy 2 bottles of vodka, and put them next to your bed. If you have some straws, it's even better, cuz people say it works better with a straw.
Then I guess ou'll sleep nice, the only thing that'll hurt is your head in the morning, but it's worth it, right? If you can at least sleep...

It may just be a muscle spasm. I used to get those a bunch in gym when I was younger. Is it the upper back, or lower?
