The reason why i'm asking this is because i'm thinking about replacing XP on my tablet laptop(i had vista then changed to xp).
I would like to know how is the compatibility in programs(or programs that does the same as some XP programs) and about the gaming part(Am i able to play SRO on Linux).
I would like to try
Beryl.
Note: It's the first time i'm gonna use linux.

If you can't run Vista's Aero, then you're probably going to struggle with Beryl.
Most programs either A) Have an alternative on Linux, or B) Work with Wine. And maybe C) The program has a Linux version.

http://wubi-installer.org/ <-- easiest way to try out Linux. Or you could order a free CD (They're really free)

Actually i can easily use Vista, it's just that i had serious troubles in vista(my internet didn't worked with vista that's the main reason i switched OS). My PC Specs:
