Ok, so i know there's people in here who know how to change the
chinese text in silkroad to english text. that's with using the
pk2 files silkroad uses. i downloaded the game Secret Online the
other day, but it's the thai version since the guys from zyon
couldn't get the licenses fixed to release their english version
of the game. now i'm wondering, is there a way to change the
language of a game to english by replacing files with english
text files? like, a not-too-hard way? because i've been searching
through the files in the Secret Online folder, but i have no clue
on which the text files are.

Do you have the english files ready to import? If not, then are they even in the game at all? If not, then you can't do it.
If they are already in the game, you should be able to change it through an options menu or something. I don't have the game, so I don't know how the files there work exactly, but if there's some sort of files named "languages" or "local(e)" something like that, then you have to open that and locate the Thai words, and then the english words, and pretty much just swap 'em around.
If you can't find english in that folder though, then you're going to have to look for someone who already did this, because unless you can translate all the Thai, then you're out of luck.

Lol, ok, well first you have to find the language files, which should just be right inside of one of the main files, if they use .pk2, you can just use pk2 extractor, if they don't, try and find another extracting program that will work for them. If you can't find them, open up the files using a hex editor, perhaps there will be some logical writing in them (most game files can be opened this way and sense can be made from them, some can't though). If there is, try and search for a thai letter, and what you find MIGHHHTTT have to do with the language files, then select it all and translate it, see if it has anything to do with the game, ideally, you should be able to just replace the thai with the english, but this might not work due to files size or just the way the lettering alligns.
You should pm cruor, he probably can find out how (if he doesn't already know) to help you.

I really can't do much without the files.
Is everything packed into binary archives?
