Planetes
Kaiba
Cowboy Bebop
Last Exile
5cm/s (hated the plot though)
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
Akira
Howls Moving Castle
Spirited Away

They all look the same.
same general face, pointy hair, same huge eyes, same actions, same expressions, generally same voices.
are you talking about backgrounds here?

Anime in general

Character design? Or art in general?

I liked the CardCaptor Sakura in total, it was so nice.

Unlike Konjiki No Gash Bell, the drawing is a laugh compared to CCS.

And Fat/ Stay Night is also very nice, yet it is a bit...

Familiar, as some people use Saber as sig and stuf, and thanks to the F/SN thread I now know that Baka, your sig is Caster, the one Servant I haven't seen yet...

I like character design style of animes such as Speed Grapher, Mnemosyne and Baccano!. Always liked the character design of these gory series. Also a huge fan of TYPE-MOON's overall artworks such as Fate/Stay Night, Kara no Kyoukai and Tsukihime. Also GAINAX's Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, only they could put out with Mechas with emotions and weird movements. Range Murata's design have always amazed me, such as for animes like Last Exile. Also a huge fan of Makoto Shinkai's movies, character designs were always to my liking, for movies such as The Place Promised in Our Early Days and 5 Centimeter per Second. As for the new series, I'm liking Wagaya no Oinorisama and Kyouran Kazoku Nikki.

Was never a fan of CLAMP designs, with their bishounens, though Code Geass is a great series. Character designs for Macross Frontier is just bad the way I think of it, but that's Macross style. As awesome as Ghibli movies are, I still find their artwork unbearable at times.

Tsukihime's artwork was pretty terrible at times. Fate improved on that quite a bit. GL's art was nothing tremendous.

You guys are all forgetting the best: Araki!

Depending on when you were watching it, Tsukihime was pretty good for the time when it was aired IMO. Gurren Lagann being bad? Have you even watch it? I mean c'mon, it's Gurren Lagann with GAINAX. Hmm, haven't heard of Araki before though.

Besides X-Lax and Baka, you all have weak tastes...
It is opinion in the end, as Mr made quite obvious, but really now...

Anyways, in ranking order...

The Place Promised in Our Early Days - 1st
Seirei no Moribito - 2nd
Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan! & Ergo Proxy - 3rd

Character designs though... in no particular order...

Bokura ga Ita
Last Exile
Baccano!

Didn't say it was bad. Some episodes were great (40%), some episodes were questionable to say the least (Episode 4). Tsukihime anime suffered from manface syndrome, and the game's art wasn't top notch either. And by Araki, I mean Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I admit, the images in game weren't that amazing but I thought Tsukihime looked pretty sweet when I first watched it.

Kinda enjoyed Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, fun comedy with almost no plot development(for now) with their cute looking designs.

I know. As soon as I finished BgI and read all translated manga I got desperate and ran over to myanimelist to look for recommendations and those similar to BgI. Glad I did, 'cause Lovely Complex was another great series.

Got any more similar?
(Still hungry...¬¬)

Not exactly a big fan of drama/romance series, but maybe Honey and Clover or Nodame Cantabile? Though I'm pretty sure you've watch them. This reminds me of True Tears, stuff looked pretty good in there, both characters and environment, first drama/romance series I've ever finished.

First one boring, second didn't really have any interest in, but I might check it out sometime. I do plan to finish HtC, but not anytime soon...

@ Chickenfeather:

No. That is absoloutely ugly IMO.

I think that after Crayon Shin Chan such heads and shapes should not be used anymore. It was fun for one series, but not for more.

That also bad about the drawing from Konjiki No Gash Bell, it reminds me a bit of Crayon Shin Chan.

Oh, I also L.O.V.E. The artworks of Love Hina, He's My Master and the Onegai T. series.
