How to shut up a cockatiel? Damn thing will not stop squawking over and over and over and over for hours on end. I'm right in the next room and its making noises like it's gonna die in there. It makes me want to throw it at a wall lol. Help.

feed it with a piece of bread or corn , they love that those lil bastids.

Barstools are the most effective weapons to shut osmeone up in my oppinon...

My suggestion also works with annoying neighbors and their little 'get-togethers'.

Just do as I do, and plug in your surround sound system (anything with a subwoofer and/or various loud speakers) and blast the most annoying playlist of music that you have. (Mine consists of Haddaway-What is love?, Dr Alban-It's my life, The famous "Rick Roll", and many other songs of the like. I also like to add some speed/splittercore in there, just for kicks. )

Seriously, try a blanket, i used to have a parrot a long time ago and it would always shut up with a blanket over the cage.. even if it doesnt shut up, leave the blanket on a day or two, it should choke eventually
