erm.. I don't think it will cause any problems if you pronounce certain words in a more english accent than an american accent.
Speaking english generally will do so I wouldn't bother with accents too much.

When i'm tired, drunk, or multi tasking (talking in vent + killing people in cs) I speak in English using French grammar - it comes out sounding weird =[

you should live in america, it's the best way to pick up the accent (without you realising it).
infact the best way to pick up an accent is to move to the area where you want your accent comes from)

switching accents is great, I mean like, I can talk 10 minutes traight brittish (I love it posh) then I can talk 10 minutes straight english accentless, (just foa fun) and then I can speak southern USA-ish (Like they do in Ohio and Texas) just to order a KFC for fun...
but.. my problem is, that in the dutch accents I can't switch that easily..
I can talk 10 minutes straigh flat Den Haags, but then I want to change to Drents and it doesn't even looks like it.. or a Fries accent.. I just can't kick it off easily..

If you come to America don't get a Boston or a New York accent ... I hate them

On vent people who aren't from the UK think I am from the UK.
People who are from the UK realise I'm not from the UK though.
Anyway I just talk with my own accent whatever that might be.
