Guild wars...
Hey so I'm just wondering I know you have to buy GW but after that do you still have to download a huge file or something to be able to play it?
Re: Guild wars...
I believe when I bought my GW:Prophecies cd (3 years ago), I had to install it from the CD. Now, it's just about the code. I bought Eye of the North as final addition to my GW games, but I didn't had to install the game.
It's about the key really. Everyone, regardless of what GW games they have, they already got the full game, but parts are restricted because they haven't got the keys. Buy a GW game and you just unlock the new continent and all that comes with it, so no installing.
I hope that made sense. Two hours of sleep ftl.
For future questions or anything, post in the Guild Wars topic. :)

Re: Guild wars...
The key lets you make an account with access to the game.
Depending on when you buy the CD, it will have different versions of the game and will patch the rest of it as you play. If you don't install the CD and just make an account, it will download it as you play.
When you first launch the 300kb client (small program) it will auto patch important things. When you launch the game it will download all the required files (sounds, capes, textures) amd because it's not from an FTP it downloads really fast, nearly 1mb/s constant guaranteed for a broadband connection. Everytime you leave a zone and enter a new one, there's a loading screen. When you first enter a zone it will download all the required files each time - so it's like a seamless download if you don't install through cd.
