So In January, I blacked out twice and went to the hospital right. And they said my head was messing with my heartbeat and made me blackout. Turns out that wasn't exactly accurate. I went to see a psychologist and found out that A dormant split personality is trying to find it's way out. Pretty scary sh1t huh?! Imagine being in my shoes. ..... gay. They don't know the trigger, but apparently I might be something like a schitzo, but they said in my case if I sucumb to it, then I will basically have permanent amnesia and I won't remember anything about who I am. WtF am I suppose to do?!? Just wait till I go Psycho and kill soft kittys?

idk what you can do tbh. i've personally never encountered something like
this. must be hard for you man. you need to change life now, or just do
what you always did and see what happens?

They said that they could try and force something like a merge or whatever. But they said it's really risky without knowing the trigger or what my wanna be counter part's personality would do to mine. They said it might still basically make me cease to be me. It's not absolute that it would work either. I'm not sure how comfortable I would be by chancing that. God This SUCKS. I don't even see how they came to this conclusion cause i Don't hear voices or see people or any of that pschobabble stuff. I have been having short memory lapses though which already isn't a good sign. And when I was younger like in 5th or 6th grade, I blacked out and Smacked around another kid. They said they can't be certain, but I may have been like this for a long time and just never noticed it till now

Helluva phone call to get when you were having a good morning. :banghead:

A psychologist doesn't deal in that. Psychiatrist maybe? Anyway, one wouldn't tell you that, because they know if you get scared about becoming skitzo, theres a bigger chance you will. :s

Um, do you really believe that? Sounds like the therapist is a little physico to me.

I've blacked out plenty of times before, some people don't know what it is, one guy said it was because I'm tall. Who knows, but another side "comeing out" sounds a little whack. If anything get a second opinion, but don't let them know what the other guy said.

Get a second opinion from someone you trust (psychologist).

Also, get your head examined (seriously). CAT scan for something, not to bring up anything else but I know tumors may cause changes in behavior and blackouts. It is better to identify the problem quickly and address it rather than worry about the unknown.

Sue the psychologist for being a fraud and obviously not knowing what he talking about. A psychiatrist wouldn't do such a thing nor would a psychologist with his head screwed on right. Simply telling you this BS would lead to an anxiety disorder which leads to more visits which in turn leads to even more problems. A psychiatrist gives you pills and tells you to GTFO!

If he isn't "fibbing" then you might be suffering from dissociative identity disorder (DID). The reason I accuse the psychologist of being a fraud is because that is not schizophrenia.

There are four types of schizophrenia, none of which involve multiple personalities as the movies may lead you to believe.

EDIT5: Dissociative Identity Disorder: a rare dissociative disorder in which a person exhibits two or more distinct and alternating personalities. Also called multiple personality disorder.

if you're suffering from schizophrenia then you don't have multiple personality disorder. The psychologist took the meaning literal instead of reading his medical books.

There are five subtypes of schizophrenia: 1. Paranoid, 2. Disorganize, 3. Catatonic, 4. Undifferentiated, and 5. Residual. From what I can gather you don't have DID (cannot be diagnosed as easily as the "good" doctor has led you to believe) second, the "minds" cannot be merged.

EDIT7: If you had schizophrenia it would be obvious, and people occasionally have gaps in memory. Ask a friend if you behaved differently while blacked out or if you engaged in any actions at all. Most Licensed Psychiatrist don't even take DID seriously. Sue that fool.

Zo, in januari ben ik 2x flauwgevallen en dan naar het ziekenhuis geweesst. Daar zeiden ze dat men hersenen mijn hartslag in de war stuurde en dat veroorzaakte het flauwvallen. Blijkt dat dat niet helemaal correct is. Ik ging naar een psycholoog en die vond dat ik een "slapende" gesploten persoonlijkheid heb en die wil nu naar voren treden. Best angstig hé?! Stel je es in mijn schoenen voor....gay. Ze weten de oorzaak niet (de reden dat de 2e persoonlijkheid naar voren treed), maar blijkbaar zou ik iets als een schizo zijn en als ik zou "breken" dan zou ik permanent geheugenverlies lijden en zal ik niet meer herinneren wie ik ben (alle herinneringen, persoonlijk,... verliezen). WtF moet ik nu doen?!? Gewoon wachten tot ik Psycho word en kleine katjes dood?

Maybe u should go to Joymax headquarters and kick 'em in the nuts and blame it on ur split personality?
Possible trigger: "Cannot connect due to server traffic"?

I really don't know what the diff is between a pschiatrist and psychologist

I just went to a cat scan and an MRI and an eeg or something. And then they said that all they could tell is my brainwaves are far from normal, so they sent me to the mental hospital (at first I was like, how the hell is that gonna help. lol) But they said that they are better in dealing with Behavior involving head problems. And my Blackouts indicate it's indeed a head problem. I had like 4 hours with a therapist or something. Again not sure what the hell they are as I've never been to one till now and never really cared to learn about the differences. But absolutley no tutmors and where on my body, They said they are 100% sure because they did so many tests. I even got to sign some paper that said if in the future they find one and it's the cause, then I can file a lawsuit and the proceedings will go to whomever I see fit after/if I die. And so far, my Kitty's are safe

They said I'll know more in a few says to a week.

It's serious dude. It probably sounds idiotic because I am only repeating what they told me and only including what I now understand. Please don't be a jerk dude, that's the last thing I need, so just post advice or a link to seomthing that can help me research it a bit so maybe I can explain better or something useful rather than very useless Info.

Just read your whole post, My family says that I am apparently really violent in the mornings when they try to wake me up. Really unusual because I'm a pretty chill guy at most times. And I have no recollection of it anytime. When I was at the therapist the mention did being related but it wasn't exactly it. They aren't yet sure but I hope that they can do something about it that has higher chances than wut it already is. And I'm sure the reason they told me about it was because I didn't sign the paperwork for my info to be released to anyone else. It's illegal for them to tell anyone, unless it involves a crime and a judge orders it.[I read the small print] It would seem I need to understand what it going on so maybe i can find a way to help myself and so I can understand the risks of it and the risks of potential treatments. And yes I did have really bad anxiety at first to those who said that. It's not exactly something you expect to hear first thing in the morning.

I have 3 and they are stumped up to now. They are calling more people to look at my Eeg and stuff. Read the edit in my post above yours^ Something different than DID or schitzo, but related. They are looking into it more, but i can already tell that it's not gonna be good
