What bands sound better live than in the studio?

Its a simple question, that I thought of while listening to some of my favorite artists play live. They sucked.

The only band that I can say plays better live than in the studio is Dream Theater. Take into account that I haven't searched the whole music spectrum looking for tracks/videos of bands playing live. So here it is, from Dream Theater's score DvD:

in flames deffinetly sound better live (well, sometimes, all bands have their bad days). they always screw with the vocals in the studio versions and it just sounds so much better live. Not sure if its still the case with the new album, havnt really listened to it much. Thats about the only band i can think of off the top of my head, theres alot of bands that sound good live but not better than the studio version, still pretty good though since live requires alot more energy than standing around in studio.

Well not exactly a band, but Buckethead sounds better live imo., more improvisations, for example

Live gigs tend to be less good musicwise but if the crowd is nice, it owns any album.

Paramore or Enter Shikari.

Seen Shikari live in the U.K. in Plymouth .. but sadly never got the chance to see Paramore perform.

Without a doubt Hammerfall. Although i have only heard their live recorded cd's, they are much better than their studio recorded cd's. Hopefully one day i will be able to see the real thing.

Rammstein... some songs are 100x better live than the studio version. And of course an amazing live show ;)

Symphony X. their live album, Live on the Edge of Forever, which was recorded in France and Germany in 2001, is my absolute favorit album of theirs.

+1 on Enter Shikari :D

Though Slipknot and killswitch engage and of course Black Dahlia murder on the clips I seen sound pretty good live.

Rammstein and Children of Bodom.

Children of Bodom has something particular about their live shows. The music is slightly derailed, and it appears some of the intstruments are out of tune, but, nevertheless, I absolutelly LOVE the way it sounds. SO much better than the studio verions.

Daft Punk sounds great in live. Studio is already good, but their lives are just awesome

Their creativity is unbeatable.

Here are two examples of two bands that do not sound good live:

Demon Hunter (Even though it is and still will be one of my favorite bands :P)
Spoiler!

DragonForce (I had to stop the live video at 1:50. I just couldn't take it. >_>)
Spoiler!

*shakes head*

Daft Punk sounds great. Very good "remix."

I really don't care if one of my fav. bands suck live... I probably wouldn't be able to go into their concerts anyway.
