Searching XP drivers.

for the lazy heads who are not interested in some side-info, i made the
actual question in bold text <.<
my little brother has a laptop. it had vista on it, but he wanted xp
because some of his software does not run on vista yet.
me and a friend installed xp on it, made the laptop dual boot, no biggy.
found all drivers, installed all drivers except his LAN drivers, but we
had wifi so that didn't matter.
now he's got his own appartment, and they only have LAN there, no wifi.
i tried searching for his LAN drivers, but whatever i installed (yes,
i did check what wireless card he has), nothing worked and i didn't
have the time to look into it.
my dad has some "friend" who fixes computers. imagine this guy is 52
years old, and has been into computers since he was 48-ish. he reads
throug a lot of shit, but i've had him "fix" things before that didn't
work. but anyhow, my dad insisted my little brother goes see that guy.
and he did -.- now my brother has got only XP on his laptop, with a
vista theme on it. idk how that happened. he has 3 partitions, of which
one is useless cause it has vista on it but you can't boot that partition.
now this guy said he installed all drivers for XP, so that should be
enough for my brother to work on, since he didn't really use vista that
much. however, i booted the laptop, and first thing i saw was that the
resolution was messed up. as in, not wide-screen. apparently this shithead
installed all drivers except my brothers gfx drivers -.- which is shit,
cause he games a lot, and reads forums a lot. you all know what it's like
when you don't install your gfx drivers - even scrolling gets annoying.
so, my question here. i've downloaded tons of drivers for the card, but
most of em seem to be vista drivers, and the xp drivers that i install
can't find the card. problem is, his xp is installed on his E-partition,
while some drivers i wanted to install were automatically installed on
the C-partition.
is there any way of getting those drivers to work without having to
format the whole damn thing again?
i'm talking about the XP drivers for the ATI Radeon X1250 laptop drivers.
all tips are welcome. lame shit like "format laptop" are not welcome.
thnx in advance.
