Well I have a kinda old PC and i bought a ati radeon xtasy 9200 video card (128mb) a couple years ago, sadly the max ram for that PC is 512mb, is there any way I can increase it to like 1 or 2 gb?
Any help would be appriciated and feel free to ask questions.

Unfortunately as far as I know. No. The limit is due to the motherboard. Buying more ram wont make any difference. My mum purchased 2 gigs of ram for her computer, however even with both gig sticks in it only read 512 from each stick.

No, wont work, gotta buy new motherboard for more ram
However this is a cheap motherboard that is compatible (probably, dunno your cpu) with practically anything, but can use the newest socket processors

Yeah. It's only $100~ for a new motherboard. But you would need a new processor to fit the socket, new ram as well, and your harddrive wouldn't work with the newest boards, same for your graphics card. You would most likely need a new PSU as well.
Buying a new motherboard for an old PC = buying a new PC.

Thanks everyone for the reply and especially SMS you answered my question. To make it clearer, I checked a site and it said my HP Pc said that my PC can only max out at 512mb of ram.
I would buy a new mother board and stuff but putting it together is a hassle, I guess Ima go PC hunting on Craigslist. Thanks again everyone ^_^

Just buy a new computer, im sure my computer is worse than yours, its 6 years old and i dont bother upgrading it because i will probably end up spending more money upgrading it than buying a new and better computer
