Two weeks ago or so I gave him my eBay e-mail password because he needed it and I just found out he opened a phising e-mail and they took off the reserve price for all my items, and deleted all the messages and put a fcking Honda bike for sale? And it had 4 bids
It'll take me and my sister days to get back on track, I'm so pissed off right now
And he was like "I got hacked, I got hacked!!!" And he doesn't even know what hacking is, and he called my uncle and again "Marcel I got hacked, I got hacked!!1one111"

haha that happened to me too until they got their own comp and now they are like "damn piece of useless shit!!!11 It must be Vista and that's why it's messed up" then they changed it to XP and they still cry of frustration every now and then when they don't understand something and blame it on a malfunction.

When I was younger I always had my own computer. If they wanted to use it, it was mine so they couldn't complain about anything.
But now they have a laptop and a desktop, and it was like playing tech support 24/7. "But that message says I have viruses and it will remove them"

Its time consuming trying to explain stuff to him sometimes, but its better than getting stuff messed up. My mom is the exact opposite, she clicks yes on everything... I totally thinks microsoft should come up with like a Windows vista mom edition. So like when ask to press ok, they'll ask are you sure for like 10 times before its confirmed.

i think parents and old ppl (37 to 99) shouldnt be on computers because they always blame something but it isnt it for example my computer stoped working because it was a hard drive issue my parents thought it was sro and i was like no its ur sh1t

I'll agree with you on the computer shit, but 37 is a bit young to be considered old. I would think more like 50+ imo. It is kinda sad though, because being a computer teccnician for a living, the parents are always so quick to blame the kids for computer problems. When most of the time it is either hardware failure or because the parent clicked one of those pop up adds that says "your pc is infected" and then they click and install spyware or malware rather then fixing a problem that does not exist.

I had that with VeohTV, Photoshop tryout and with IMVU... they popped up at the same time everytime I started up my laptop, and then it just like, took 15 mins before I could do anything with it...
Oi...
But Photoshop is gone, I kicked off IMVU cuz it bored me and VeohTV comes in handy sometimes so I keep it...

It's not a specific age range. I'm 44 and know more about PC's, networking and applications than most people. But not everyone makes it a career or has time to understand all the little problems with Windows, hardware, and devices associated with geekdom.
Educate your parents then, gently point them to take computer classes. If you know how to maintain a PC, make suggestions on what to install for antivirus, popup blockers and anti-spyware measures. Don't run them down because they are ignorant please. Do you know how to file taxes? Or how to allocate funds in a 401k?
waitasec - was that you posting in Tech Support about BSOD's? So it was a hard drive?

Well my mom is really good on the pc lol only goes to tha internet to write a email or to some page of her school to write grades to kids never screwed anything....
