Um, your trying to wipe a drive, which is currently running the program to wipe the drive?
If you format your C drive, and don't have the windows install disks, you have a blank hard drive, with no OS on it.
Looks like its a good thing it failed.

You're using a windows system utility to format the drive where windows is allocated and running -_-

Windows is by default installed on C: drive. Since Windows is using C: Drive you cannot format C: drive while using Windows. You must reboot your computer and reformat it through the text-based prompt, which I believe requires a Windows OS CD to function. This will permanently erase everything in that drive and you must reinstall everything from scratch, including the Windows OS.

Re: everything hates me huh =_=
I think the operation you are looking for is "defragment" not "reformat". Reformatting your C drive without any OS disks is probably not the best way to speed up your computer.
If you want to reformat, there are plenty of free programs to do it and I think windows will make a boot disk for you with reformat on it. If you want to do a low-level reformat, go to your HD manufacturer's website and download their program.

Yeh, you either gotta boot on a different HD or use a Windows cd to reinstall w/format.
