What do you do when you see black spots caused by the dead Acne?
Me i try to scratch it off(WITH FORCE!!!

), and put this scar destroying lotion on it(like the ones that make u tan or something)
Anywayz i just want to know how YOU(the readers) take care of Acne.

I've always used a facial wash, facial clenser, and a moisturizer. Never had problems with acne or pimples.
personal hygiene ftw - although I realize some people don't choose to have bad acne, good hygiene pratice would rid most teenagers of a lot of problems.

Popping them is probably the WORST thing you can do unless they're massive, and i mean HUGE. Wash your face, and if you dont have any acne medicine, like clearasil, use a small dab of toothpaste and sleep with it on.. it'll dry it out and it'll go away a lot faster.
Picking, scratching, popping = horrible for skin. Dont do it.

Wash your face everyday. Prevent em before you get em. Don't scratch em or anything. BAD !

Sorta overkill, but I guess better safe than sorry.
2 simple showers a day will keep them away. Unless your are prone to ACNE, which in that case goodluck.

In my family we have like zero acne, so I didn't get any of those bitches..
And then you see some people putting on like, 6 creames 2 times a day to get rid of them, and they've got their face full of them...

when i do get the odd pimple, i use a bit of clearacil cream after washing my face. i will only pop them if they are big, otherwise i put the cream on and let it on for a few hours.
I have pretty clear skin ( though the last few weeks have been getting a little bad ), but as soon as i eat fatty food or drink alcohol i can break out. So for me i have to sacrifice a bit to gain that little bit of confidence, i guess its worth it. health > desire

I only break out when I'm stressed. So right now, with my exams coming up. I got more than my average.

Put toothpaste (the one with whitening) on every day before you go to sleep, keep it on for like, 6mins and wash it off with a wet cloth. Enjoy the sting.

This is just the peroxide acne treatment...might as well just stick to the mainstream products...

Toothpaste is
way cheaper, though.

Keep your face clean at all times and you might not get it at all, just like me.
My sister never had acne either, I however had some on my forearm but everyone does and it went away after a few months, I'm talking about 4 years ago btw

No no no, don't pop them. That is ultimately the worst thing you can do. There are different treatments for different skin types, oily skin, not very oily, darker/lighter skin. All depends. I've struggled with acne in the past due to great genetics (thank you father) but I've maintained them and have minor break outs every once in a while. You need to use a cleanser. Go out and get, Biore (accent over the e) Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser. You should be able to find it at your local walmart, walgreens etc. It must have a Salicylic acid of 2.0%. Which is where the ever so popular pro active fails. 1% doesn't do anything, and anything over 2% is too much. Got to run to my psychology lecture, I'll post more when I get back on what you can do to help your problem.

I dont know where i read/heard it, but you should never, NEVER put toothpaste on them. That would make it even worse or there was some other problem.

from my understanding unless its a facial scrub you really shouldn't use to much soap on your face. Just a clean hot cloth should do the trick...

*sigh* Do not pop them whatever you do. It will make it worse in the long run and leads to scarring.
As for the soap comment, wrong. Regular soap is less than ideal as a skin-cleansing agent because it is by nature somewhat alkaline and therefore tends to neutralize sebum's acidic- and hence antibacterial properties. I recommend the salicylic acid I named before, or use Neutral-pH cleansing creams or a non-soap "beauty bar." They are far better choice then your everyday bathroom soap. Generally though, as xemnas pointed out, just water and a cloth should really do the trick.
As for the food comment, again wrong, although to a certain extent. Butter, oil, peanut butter, chocolate, french fries, hamburgers and many other greasy foods have all been blamed for causing acne. If they are part of a generally unhealthy diet, they are bad for you and your skin. If they are counteracted with good exercise and a healthy diet, they will not cause or worsen acne. Makes sense to me.
As for taking care of your acne. Moisturize daily, with a decent SPF, cleanse mildly with what I already suggested, use antioxidants at bed time. Use a cream that contains the antioxidants vitamin C ester, tocotrienol and alpha lipoic acid. Try to find a product with all 3, it's ideal, if not then get them separately. Oh and make sure they are all NON oil based. If it's pretty sever, you can go to your doctor and have them prescribe you Retin-A.
