FFS. What made this women so remarkable...that we are still talking about her and her death and her crappy life. It's been over 10 years and jeez, can there be any news older and more unimportant as her. I wouldn't mind if it really was important. It's not important at all.

aw dont be mean. she was a princess. i was like 6 when she died or something i thought it was the biggest deal ever when i heard it on the radio. lol :/

People are going to be talking about 9/11 in 2011
People are going to be talking about The Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2014

Things like this change the course of history, and yes Princes Diana's death is shrouded in Conspiracy and stuff, just like 9/11 is. So you will probably get a news article like that in 10 years time about 9/11.

Besides, for a lot of British people, princes Diana's death had a huge impact on them like 9/11 did for Americans. So let them talk about it as much as they want, i know its the NewYork times but still it is a global story.

I remember when i heard about her death, i was here in Indonesia but it still had implications, people were still shocked and saddened. School called a day of morning and everything.

Most people I know, think that she should be left alone to R.I.P.

So true, i remember the first few days Madeline Macan was abducted, huge news. Princess Diana still got front page (English Papers eh? )

I know I will probably get slammed for this but I am gonna say it anyways..

As like alot of things 9/11 gets way to much emphasis put on it, the death count was only 3000 people that is not high, compared to the amount of people that will die from the amount of cancer caused material that was put into the air, that the US government said was safe to breath LOL.

Princess Diana wasnt even a princess when she died she was not important in the slightest, yeah she helped out some charaties big whoot so do alot of people.

The Tsunami was no different from anyother natural disaster and the after effects were caused by its over exposure. There is still over £1 billion in aid that has not been spent because of aid agencies inability to work together. People died because of the massive amounts of aid that were given like in every natural disaster.

And dont get me started on Madaline Macan those parents should be Jailed for neglegance, if I was a cop I would refuse to work on that case its their own fault that kid wnet missing, and the idiots that gave them millions should be jailed for stupidity lol.

From your described point of view it was seen statistically, cold hard facts.

It is easy to see it from a distant vantage point,it will be alot different if you are caught in such a situation

Yup, but I don't think people pay enough attention to the tsunami. That thing was absolutely terrible, but americans give 2 shits about it, they only care about Katrina, which wasn't nearly as bad.

Also, Princess Diana was a big part of history, you have no idea what she did. The world would be plenty different without her.

Well, as an Australia, the Tsunami hit home, out government gave Indonesia 1 billion dollars to recover followed by hundreds more millions thereafter . A lot of the people killed in that were Australian tourists. Just because it didn't directly effect some, don't say it didn't effect anyone. 9/11 didn't affect me as such, however Australia's close relationship with USA made it seem a though it was a building within the vicinity of Australia. Diana, Princess of Wales apart of the commonwealth, and when she died it was almost a though Australia once again had lost one of it's high figures. Australia has a close relationship with many countries and disrespectful comments saying 'When will she go away', and Rev's comments; That's exactly why you're not a police officer pal.

Well I have the view that nobody is better than anybody else and everybodys death should be treated the same, yes she was in the public eye but that doesnt mean that she is any different from anybody else and the fact that she wasnt a princess anymore means that she shouldnt have gotten the treatment that she does and IMO shouldnt even be called princess Diana anymore.

And I am not saying that 9/11 isnt a big deal it was, but it wasnt the big deal that it is made out to be. Alot more people have died from peoples decisions post 9/11 than died on the day, and more people alone will die from conditions caused by the harmfull material that was put in the air from 9/11 than died on the day. That to me means that 9/11 is made out to be something much more than it actualy was.

If your child was asleep you would expect them to be somewhat secure in that room, doors locked etc. Jailing the parents for negligence wouldn't solve anything, it's safer to keep a child in a room than to let them walk to school, if a child were walking to school would they be charged for negligence?

If my kid was asleep in a room I wouldnt then go out to eat, they are parents that comes before some meal, and at that age they wouldnt be walking to school alone either. Yes the kid was in their apartment but that doesnt mean you can leave them alone while you go out to eat, peoples apartments get broken into all the time.

But what they would have to go through for the rest of their life's is far worse then going into some jail..

Another story that has been in the paper's a lot recently is the young girl Shannon Mathews (or what ever her name is) She was missing for 24 days, but she was found in her step uncles house/flat. The mother had something to do with the girl's disappearance.
