just got contacts yesterday... yesterday they put em in for me.. and i had to take em out last night... tht was all easy... but now ive spent the last hour trying to get them suckers in... i just cant do it.. the second it touches my eye, it fold backwords... is that because im doing something wrong or... gah i need them... right now i cant even rly see what im typing... help!

Focus your eye on a specific object or point, a mirror helps often too.

i'm wearing glasses only now, and i <3 em.

well glasses... hard to wear with playing sports.. and i hate em... plus they make me look gay <>o.0<> but anyways, if anyone hear actaully wears contacts id rly like to hear what they do.
yea and ive been using a mirror... but i just cant do it

yea im having trouble telling if the lens is right way or not.. with my luck ill take me an hour to get it in, then ill find out it backwards...

Just practise. I heard for many, a mirror works wonders, or just focusing on an object.

To see if the lens is inside out is easy to see too, put it on your finger and look at it from the side.


The upper image is the one which is inside out, the bottom one is the way it should be.

i have contacts for like 2months now ,never used them i just can't get them on my eye

Well now I can just pop them in with one hand but what I used to do, like RuYi said, was focus on one point. The thing to do is look upwards and place the contact on the white part of your eye. Once you feel it is placed on then slowly move your eye, not the contact, until it close to were it should be if not already . Once it's in place just blink once or twice and it should adjust to the middle.

Once I have the contact contact (ha ha) my eye, I will keep holding my eyelid open and move my eyeball around, look up, down, right, left. 9 times out or 10 I will have both contacts in in less then 15 seconds.

ahah it suck when you can't get it in the first time XD cause ur eyes get all painful and it's way harder

Contacts for almost 1 year now. Got the hard ones though. Seems like you got soft, respirating(or w/e it's called in english) ones. Can't help you with those, can only say focusing on something, or having a mirror in front of you works awesome.

omg after 2 hours finaly got 1 in... but for last hour ive gone half blind... still cant get the other one in.. im so dizzy and blured out.. i getting sick... ugh

you have to get used to it. when you put them in, keep looking forward, really important.

don't move your eyes.

Contacts are easy as hell to get in.

When you got the contacts, didn't they make you put them in?

For me, when I went to go get mine, they gave me 30 minutes to successfully put in and take out again my contacts.

If you could do it in this time, then you could have them.
If not, try again some other time.

I had the same problem when I started wearing them.

My eye would instinctively close whenever my contact got near it.

As for the flipping inside out thing you get, don't press to hard, usually when putting them in, once they come into contact with the eyeball, they will slide into place themselves and all you need to do is blink a few times to get them perfect.

no they put em in for me... had me take out, then they put bak in for me...

and on my 2nd eye i could get the contact fit on my eye perfect i could see in the mirror it sitting on it... but it just wouldnt go on... so i have to push then it folds in... been doing this for like 20 minutes.

Okay, this might seem a little complicated, and it takes some practice, but it works for me.
Keep a CLEAN, DRY paper towel (do NOT use a towel, clothing, or tissues) with you. I'm going to explain this to you as if you're right handed; im left handed though so if it's confusing..

Take the contact out with your LEFT index and thumb, and place it on your index finger on your right hand. If your fingertip gets too wet and the contact sticks to your finger, lift it off witht he left hand, dry your fingertip, and replace it; then try putting it in again. When you have it in, keep your eye closed for about 5 seconds, and then open. Look up, down, left, right.
It should be comfortable.

If this doesn't work though, get someone with better vision to examine your contacts for '123' in tiny little numbers. If they read backwards, flip the contact.

Build it up.
I had to wear the contacts for 1 hour on my first day. Key is; Look down. This will reduce the hurt. Believe me
2 hours on the second day, 4 hours 3rd, 6 hours, 8, and eventually for an entire day. After that I could wear them without any problems. Already was able to put them in flawlessly, but then again, I was poking my eye as a kid.

I wish I had some goddamn contacts. The frames of my glasses just came apart on one side, and I lost the damn screw so I can't put my lens back in place. Now I have to wait till tomorrow to find something adequate to hold that shit together.

just practice every day. it'll eventually become 2nd nature to u, like what's the first 2 things u do when u wake up? empty ur bladder and put in ur contacts. u'll soon be able to put in ur contacts wit just 1 hand no sweat, trust meh.

i use contacts, but old school ones, because i like how it dries my eyes and makes them look red. actual reason? i don't want to keep buying re usable contacts over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

I'm too vain to wear glasses, besides, glasses don't look good on me.

i used to wear contacts and this happened to me also to prevent it dont look at your finger when you are putting it in , look up then you will have to spin your eye around to center it

getting them out will be harder just so you know

my sister used to put a kind of Anaesthetic eye drops so she doesnt feel her eyes for like 2-3 min and can wear them

I remember my first contact experience....little suckers are hard, but it gets easier. Just keep holding your eye open and focus on something, once you get it on, look up and down and then you ca let go of your lids, should be fine.

I remember i put the coloured ones in my eye for a party and it killed to get them suckers out, my eyes were so red afterwards >.<

you do what i do, cept i use a towel...

and dont be afraid to push your eye a little

lol reise for the year i had my glasses, that happred to me like 2 times a month >.< went through liek 10 repair kits rofl... so junky when ur in school 1st period and u gotta go rest of the day without seeing a thing...
and wewt finally got them both in took 2 hours today... my eye hurts so bad tho... 2 days straight(like 6 hours worth) of pulling on my eyes >.<
