Saw it earlier this afternoon. I enjoyed it. Who wants to get a crew together and goto Las Vegas and make some moolah? Or is counting cards a bad idea in todays day and age?

There's this certain casino here where me and my dad used to go and we'd count the cards and it was so easy to tell by the croupier's cards. Until 2 koreans came along and did the same thing as us every single day so they kind of changed their sysem.
Also, never play BJ with a bunch of rookies, they'll mess up the shuffling and they'll just ask for moar and moar until you're left with really bad ones

I just came back from seeing it.
Every time I play blackjack I always make .5 of what I started with. Everything in the casino is about self control rather than luck.

From what I understood from the movie.
2-7 = -1
8 = 0
9-Ace = +1
Starting on zero. You count the cards, the higher in the +'s you get, the more money you can make from the deck. Of course when the deck is reshuffled, then you will no longer know the count is.
I'm sure you could find a million and one guides on the internet.

Actually students from MIT came up with the formula or atleast it was known before to other counters but MIT students expiremented with it. They basically went to all these casinos and won millions of dollars until casino managers caught on with what they were doing... They were banned from every casino in the U.S. It's extremely hard to card count at a casino without getting caught nowadays, you can't do it alone.
It was a documentary on TLC once try looking for it..

Lol one of the guys from the MIT group was interviewed on G4, he said he tried playing blackjack with one of the actors from the movie and the dealer was like "You cant play here sir, not only that but you're not allowed anywhere near a blackjack table"

lol card counting in vagas is a bad idea cause if you get caught. which you probobly will because of all the big-brother-esqe survallience equipment. since nearly all of the casinos in vagas are either run by or heavily connected to the mob your probobly gona get your ass whooped (if not killed) and thell steal their money back lol. its simple. gambling in casinos is stupid because the house ALWAYS wins. why do you think they would exist if it didnt work that way?

They wouldn't give a shit if you card count, unless you're rolling with hundreds of thousands. I doubt any of us could put out bets in the dozens of thousands of dollars.

The mob will make you disappear if you play them.
Dunno if I'd like a movie about that kind of thing, seems boring.
