Between East Asians, South Asians, Europeans?

I'm sure lots of 2nd generation Asians have suffered from the "ignorancy" of Americans on our inability to tell the difference between Koreans/Japanese/Chinese etc. and just throwing our hands up in the air and saying "Chinese, Asian same thing!" Same goes for Indians/Pakistanis/Bengals.

On a separate note, does this same issue apply to Europeans? I've never noticed Europeans being heckled about what Germans look or what Belgians look like, but (noticing that there are quite a number of Europeans) is there really a ethnic difference between Europeans countries that you can tell apart? There clearly is a difference between Asians (I have yet to master the difference of Indians), but do Europeans do also?

What about we Americans? Descendants of Europeans, we should look like one or another, or do we just unique due to our previous widespread genetic mixing?

I do the throw my hands up in the air thing with asians. I can tell what your heratige was though if you had ancestors in Europe through looks though. Most of us Americans dont see many Asians if you live in a place like PA

i say asian if i don't know the country but i can normally tell if someones chinese or vietnamese . Ppl from india look different from ppl from Iraq to me but i couldn't tell india from pakistan or iraq from iran....

Not that hard to tell which Asian group someone is..

It is kinda hard... for me atleast. But then i can tell easily from the way they act.

BTW european areas don't count its all white ppl. Though some ppl are obviously of Italian, Germanic, or Spanish descent....

Very easy to tell apart Europeans. British f4gs stand out like a sore fking thumb. Germans be always lookin all pissed off n sh1t.

Kind of easy to tell apart most asians.

India and Iraq? Wtf? Of course anyone can tell them apart they have nothing in common

I'm Korean but the first thing people ask are, are you chinese?

Everytime, people always assume your chinese if your asian.

Skin tone, Face shape, Eyebrow thickness.. Height..

Asian, prolly because I'm asian too.

Pretty sure you start hitting more diversity in appearance the more you head west from east Asia.

And I'm also sure if you got a group of 50 Americans, and 50 Europeans, mixed them up and told them not to speak, you would probably not be able to tell the difference for the most part.

Differences within Europe I dunno about, since I don't live there.

yellow, brown, white.

nemo was an orange and white fish. he was european with streaky fake tan.

I can't really say what makes them so easy to me to say where they are from
but the skin color, hair color, eyes,... all that is different from one place to another
Germany and Belgium are right one next to another so it might be more hard to tell
I am from Portugal I can say pretty easily when I see a foreign...
and I can too see the difference from a Portuguese from a Spanish
(in case you don't know Portugal and Spain are neighbors)
But isn't easy with everyone, some times we find a Portuguese that looks a bit like an Iraqi or a Nordic that could perfectly be from a Mediterranean country

well i guess it kinda depends on it... i'd easily be able to tell if someone is jpanese by speach. probably also between chinese and korean. but it's a bit harder by looks...i usualy would just ask them from where they are to avoid pissing them of about something...

9/10 times I can tell what nationality a certain asian may be from..

10/10 out of europeans
