I love the Market

I invested $500 on Friday into some Bear Stearns stocks...Bought some stocks for about $5.00 each...
Today BEAR STEARNS closed at $11.25....
So I'm planning to sell tomorrow... made about $1200....
I'm just mad I didn;t invest more...
And out of the $1200 only $700 is coming my way.... The rest my folks are taking...
So what should I do now...
$700 to spend...How shall I reward myself

Check the news, see if something good is about to happen to a company, invest in them. Their stock prices will go up and you will make more money.

1200-500=700 profit.
Where did the initial 500 come from? Your parents?

As many here want to know how to do it I do to.
And I agree with the quit while your ahead deal. But I would put like 200$ back in. And see how it goes from there. Then gradually increase it everytime.

If you don't know what you're doing and if you're not up 2 date every single day, it's like gambling.
That means kids shouldn't be playing with market and shares with mum and dad's money, because sooner or later (most likely to be sooner) you'll loose it.
You should buy yourself some candies instead, redneck

Oh great, a new generation of daytraders...
Advice from someone with contacts in the financial industry: DO YOUR RESEARCH first. Bull markets never last forever, we're headed for bear. Know how to assess your stocks.
I'd hate to see "I invested $500 and lost it all, I'm in huge trouble now".

Damn...
and when I read this thread I was seriously going to ot the following if it was really about the market:
Wait up, Mary! Let me just put my ribbons in my braids and grab my basket and we'll skip to the market together!
but, that's not going to happen becuase it's about money...
how boring...
gohhs.

Sold for $11.06 each
The $1200 is the profit I made from it...The $500 was mine initially...Since my father bought the stocks on his name and sh1t...he wanted some of the profit as well...so my parents told me I'm a bit late with my rent so they took 500 out of it.
$1200=profit parents take $500...I'm left with $700 plus the $500 that I invested in the beginning..
