Ok I dont know how many of you have this problem but I definetly do, heres what I can describe for you
it seems that all year round I have a stuffy nose, and trying to go to sleep is the WORST. Whenever I sit down or lay down it seems like I always have a stuffy nose on one side and i have to toss and turn all night to fall asleep. whenever I stand up it seems to go away for the time being.
is there anyone that understands what I am saying and knows something I can do? its been like this ever since I was a little kid.

lol You act like he's gonna die.
I'm the same way, just go outside and get some air or something. Every morning I wake up and my nose is all screwed up. So I just get up and go outside for a while until it clears up.

I have it too, nearly all year around. Maybe 40 days in a year MAX where I can breathe normally.
What seems to help tho, and well depends if you're up for it that is. Get a tabel spoon of warm water, and but some salt into it so that it dissolves a little.
Then well, snif it. It hurts for a few seconds, but your nose will be un-blocked. Try and stand over a sink / toilet when you do .. cause the shit that is blocking your nose will come out lol.
It's not harmfull to you, but it WILL hurt if you're not expecting it.

its called saline and you can buy it in a bottle with a nozzle so you can spray it directly into your nose. From that im sure you can tell this is not an uncommon thing. During summer months when the air is dry i suffer from stuffer from nose bleeds while i sleep and stuffed nostrils when i wake up. The saline definitely helps and if that doesn't work you should consult a doctor to get a better opinion, you might have allergies or something i dunno.

So it's sorta 50/50.

sudafed work too, but this shit creatr ephedrin, wich is addictive (it's like a mix of steroid and amphet), been taking them for 2 week a month ago, and I turned addicted (couldn't stay awake or workout without them) until I realised it and completly stopped it.
but yeah it work pretty good at clearing your nose, just stay careful.

Pseudoephedrine isnt addictive. Its a nasal decongesant but can have systemic side effects (mainly, its abused by medical students as a stimulant
). Its controlled in most countries as you can extract the compound and make crystal meth out of it. If you have chronic nasal congestion, this isnt the ideal med for you.
Its been going on since childhood so it could be some form of allergy such as pollen (seasonal) or dust mites (all year around). Its definitely worth seeing your local general practitioner to investigate or manage this. Your Dr would probably need to know if other family members have it too, if you've ever had or still have asthma, if you ever had skin sensitivities like eczema etc.

its gotten worse with the pollen, i live in georgia so it gets hella bad here, also i dont think the air ever gets dry here to whoever was talking about that, not sure about that saline sutff, i saw a video of someone doin that and it was hella funny. im gonna look for some allergy pills OTC and if that doesnt help ill talk to the doctor.

your sure it's not addictive? cause im pretty sure my system wasnt working right... lack of will and energy when I wasnt taking them. I'm not a medic so I don't know all the stuff about them, but I've heard they were used to increase concentration and physical strenght, some people were using them in competition and stuff (that's why I was comparing them to amphet and roids).

dependency is not addiction. If he's become dependent on saline to clear his nose, and really thats all thats in the bottle you can look at the contents and it will obnoxiously state you just paid $3+ for Water and Salt, then thats ok ppl are dependent on things like glasses and inhalers to get by. Addiction is different extreme. If you actually need a wiff every time your nose gets stuff then theres nothing you can do about it except maybe get something surgically altered or removed but i've really never heard of anyone getting addicted to salt water...i don't think its chemically possible.

Get a humidifier, get capsacian nasal spray (a derivitive of cayenne peppers, no its not like snorting ground cayenne.) if you have a shower, get some shower soother tablets (big ol hockey puck sized tablets you put at the bottom of your shower that work as a decongestant and helps breathing.
