whats a good antivirus (spyware, adware, virus ) program? ( 1 that can detect viruses accurately , adware, spyware, etc... )

what antivirus program do you guys use .

i use avast by alwil, itz free ( http://www.avast.com/index.html ).

i just wanted to know what antivirus you guys use, cuz avast is wierd and the look of it is kind a like a media player.


uhh i hate the looks of it, but i heard itz a good free antivirus, but i wanna move on to something professional so i wanna hear your word on and i also want to know what antivirus the majority of srf used

had norton before, but it ate alot of ram

NOD32. Hands down.

There is no best, but I use Kaspersky.

NOD32, recently switched to it after all the positive reviews and after research. I must say it is a great anti virus

nice i use to use kaspersky once , real nice itz all manual u get to control everything what programs to allow in or out of the comp , great antivirus..

well me being a member of yahoo high speed internet i get offered norton 2008 for free but i cant use cuz of the ram it eats.

NOD32 heard good stuff about it ( when i read NOD32 i think of a virus, lmao the name of the antivirus sounds like a virus name )

I dont belive there really is no best but i use norton i have not gotten a virus since.

i didnt mean best i meant a good working thats most of the time picks up viruses and deletes them, not all antivirus are accurate to detect a virus

anti virus? pffft. I have avg free installed, but i havnt updated it in ages. I occasionaly scan some files that ive downloaded. I have a subscription to norton but i cant be bothered to install it. If i get a virus then meh, easy enough to get rid of.

Oh damn. I just realized that I don't have an anti-virus yet after reformatting my computer.
Guess I'm using Vista's Windows Defender to keep me safe?

AVG for me, just cause of its low resource usage. Anything 'dodgey' that I'm doing that requires a proper anti-virus I go onto my desktop and use avast.

windows live one care...work pays for it and i like it better than avg. it doesn't chew up my resources either!

i've been using avast + spybot since a year and no virus yet, no crash or anything


im really happy about it cause my old virus was so infected and crap keep crashign all the time

avg. works well.

i had some nasty shit on my pc, with my general pc knowledge and avgs help i was able to eliminate them. i totally trust avg. if im really super paranloid i just use several online scanners to scan files, like when dling a pserver and things like that.

I use Chuck Norris.

kool , anyone use AVG the free version of it? i think itz 7.5 ( version ) something clsoe but is it any good, does the free version do just as good as the paid version?

norton is gay man get rid of it, it used alot of resources slows ur computer down 100% , and it eats alot of ram..

avast is good but the looks of it is really gay (looks like a freaking music player)

Depends your computer, but no doubt its good. Never had a virus with it.

your not using a good antivirus cause it looks wierd......

i use either avast or a-squared

-Symantec Corporate Edition ( very good virus protector and finder )
-SUPERAntiSpyware ( good for finding tracking cookies i find )

EDIT: you anti-virus looks weird?? i am pretty sure thats the "Vista" style, my norton360 2007 edition is like that too ( DON'T USE )
