My graduation project (Help needed!)

Hai guys.

Well, i'm graduating for the company VacuVin.
My assignment is to develop a new product that will fit into the company's
branche and to their current product range. I'd like to ask people that are
interested in helping me a bit, to have a look at the website (yes, you can
also get it in english, by simply clicking on the british flag top right <.<).
The product i need to develop needs to be in the branche that VacuVin is in at
the moment. Basically, VacuVin works in the following product fields:

  • Wining
Products that have to do with serving/drinking/enjoying/preserving wine.
They currently have vacuüm corks, corkscrews, serving helps and a winetender
  • Dining
Products that have to do with serving/drinking/enjoying/preserving food.
They currently have fruit slicers, vacuüm preserving boxes, a cutting board, a
marinater and a couple of cooling plates
  • Cooling
They currently have a lot of variations based on their cooling system. This
system makes use of a water-based gel inside foil. The thing gets put in the
freezer but does not freeze. When wrapped around your drink, your drink will
be cooled within 5 minutes and will stay cool for hours.

My question to you guys is, can you guys help me find some creative products? That
means, can you guys brainstorm with me here a bit, just say anything that comes to
mind when it comes to wining/dining/cooling.. problems you have with em atm, ideas
you've had for ages to open that champagne bottle, etc. I mean, i'm creative and all,
but a little help is always nice :] Anything will do, no matter how crazy the idea is,
as long as they have to do with one or more of the three subjects i named above.

Thanks in advance <3

hmmmm.

cookie shaped corkscrews..
interesting, but not exactly what i'm looking for ;]
thanks for the input though .

one of my current ideas is to have a meat fork
Image
and put a mechanism on that so you can push the meat off from the fork
without having to use a 2nd hand with a knife. this would save a lot of
trouble when you want to put the meat on a plate. could also be used for
the barbeques in the summer.

point is, there is a couple of trends, both globally and in the specific
branches that VacuVin is in. example of a global trend, is the fact that
the amount of elder people (60+) is growing and growing, which means there
is a good chance of putting something on the market which makes preparing,
serving, etc. food easier for them. an example of a branche trend is the
fact that more and more people (in the netherlands) try to eat outside the
house. that could be either at a picknick, but also a barbeque. this means,
it would be interesting for me to look for ideas and develop something in
the outdoor dining branche.

Hmmmm...

A fork shaped like a cookie??

Kidding...

hmmmmmmm.... *thinking*

Maybe a micro wave where pizza's don't get soft in....

Or a stand on a fork like that so when you've like, shoved it in a piece of meat to see if it's wellcooked yet, and then put it down to do something else, you put it on the stand so all the fat and juices from it won't get printed on the counter or maybe the table cloth/ table.

vacuum/thermo-picknikmand !?!?
of een serviesstuk die verschillende vormen kan aan nemen...(kleine verbuigingen, misschine dat de punt its langer wordt voor vlees)

madness: spoon with built-in cooling system for hot soup :P (which would be very handy if it was possible...)

lol i like that :]

yesterday we been brainstorming. seems the company wants to try and focus
on one market atm besides the wining, dining and cooling business, and that
is the outdoor dining market. that includes bbq, camping, picknick, etc.

one of my idea is to try and develop something to make other things than
just grilled meat on the bbq. i mean, most traditional bbq you won't be able
to make pancakes on right? i'd like to see if i can find something to work
that out.

anywho, keep em coming. it's not as much responses as i hoped for yet, but
any input is appreciated.

That would be easy :o, put a frying pan base attachment onto the BBQ. Like a click mechanism.
