Deleting Application RAM?

I know there is a way to delete the ram sued by an application...such as sro using about 500mb for example.
How would i do this, i was told there is a program to do so.

computer usually does it automaticly, but restarting does the same thing.
oh, wait you mean the amount of ram a program is using? most likely not possible.

Not if your on Windows...it tries but not efficient. Theres several programs that will free memory but if your playing a game i would disable auto free cause it will lag you up. But if your meaning to lower the amount it uses i don't think theres a program for that. But I not good with software...mostly hardware.

it's easier to get 3 gigs of ram, you'll never notice it

go to the proccess window right click and set priority low?

that only effects the processor, and that may also lag up the program
