Huh? A Website needed

Hi guys, in a month I am going back to Spain for my spring/summer vacation. And I'm planning to make LOTS of photos and write lots of stories (cus I will have lots of time).
Basically, I want to find a website where I can upload my photos and write stories for my friends all over the world, so they can enjoy it (I have many friends in Panama, USA, Canada, Spain -yes I have moved a lot).
And miss them all, and I haven't seen most of them for ages. And since I will be off university as well, I will have time to 'decorate' the website as much as I can.
So guys, any suggestions for the website I'm looking for?

PS: I don't like facebook nor myspace.

http://mediafire.com (you can upload an unlimited number of files (that includes pics) and share them with anyone

http://www.tinypic.com(i prefer photoshop if you want to save your pics after uploading, but if you want to just upload them right away then i prefer tinypic)

Because you want both stories and photo's, I also suggest registering to a blogsite. There are alot to choose from aswell. Blogspot is by far the most popular and wellknown one.
