as many of you have probably read...i have been making alot of life changes as of late. along with my health getting increasingly better, i have found another great side effect...my bank account has been growing as well. i never realized how much i was actually spending on killing myself on a weekly basis! so i figured, since i am looking better, it was time to start styling a little bit again as well. so i dumped the grandpa mobile i was driving since i sold my truck and bought a new volkswagen GLI (this was a comprimise since i wanted a sports car and my wife wanted a 4 door sedan [planning for the future]). it is not brand new, because i think the new body style is kinda girly, so i went with the 2005 1/2. it is black magic pearl with custom ricaro racing seats, 6-speed manual turbo, chipped, 18in rims, cold air intake, 12 speaker bose monsoon system. i had it to 150 on saturday on the florida turnpike going from miami to orlando. the car moves! anyway, it is my new baby and it is alot cooler than the shitty buick i have been driving since august. here are the dealer pics...i will try to update them from my driveway when i get home tonight!!!!!

they were asking 18,895, i think the final number was 16,565 with all the bells and whistles. its got 30,000 miles on it so i have another 20000 miles on factory waranty, plus a 2 year extendended bumper to bumper warranty so the car is covered until 2012, 7 years left on the powertrain warranty, cosmetic warranty on the interior, a tire warranty that even covers normal wear, which i had never even heard of. basically, when i wear out this set, they will give me new tires. i am covered on that for another $5000 worth of tires, and they gave me data dots (because GLI's are rare, and black magic pearl is the rarest color), which is an invisible microchipped paint on the engine and all components for theft recovery, and if the vehicle is not recovered, they pay off what i owe and hand me $5000 cash towards a new car. so i think i made out like a bandit!!! i could not be happier!

Nice, pretty good pick for a compromise. It's always nice to have a car with some balls and enough room for the family. It packs a fair punch considering it's an in-line 4. It's an in-line 4 right?

Though i think the kids (when you have them) will go deaf from the sound system in your car

its 1.8 turbo 4cyl with stage 2 chipset. its got over 250 hp...don't know exactly how much...yet, but i will be doing more engine work to it.

about the system, that is stock. i have 2 1000 watt xplode amps and 2 jbl 12in subs that will be going in the trunk soon (even sooner if dildogoblin veery kindly offers to assist me...lol). i am thinking about a pro install so i can get a custom box though...that will at least leave trunk space for the stroller...lulz

thanx man! it has not been an easy task!
its funny, the seats are one of my favorite things. they are racing seats so they keep the driver and passenger from sliding around when you take corners at extreme speeds. so far i have found that the tires don't even squeal when i take a corner at 50! i will post better pics of them later. the are embroidered with the ricarro and gli logos.

I had it at 80 in third gear. That car is fast!!!! You had better invest in a radar detector man!
