it's not bad...it's different, I play it.

you play as 3 characters at the same time. i guess it is a little grindfest-ish but on the other hand ther eis an autoattack option whcih pretty much lets you stand on a spot and shoot anything that comes with a 10 meter radius (not to be cunfused with bot). the game is pretty unique iwth the stance system and all that other stuff and it has great music and ZOMFG AWESOME GRAFFIX. i think you should check out the granado espada thread. i think you'll get to know more there.

here's a fact: nothing is a grindfest if u've played sro. (well maybe except 9 dragons...)

lvling in SOTNW slows down at around lvl50-ish.

the reason why i dont play as much nowadays is because when u lvl up, u dont get to put any stats, when ur stance lvl up, u get new skills, but if ur stance is already at lvl25, then there's not much u will need to do. and the clothes dont change that much, so it feels like long and boring.. :banghead:

Code: Select all

Code: Select all

edit: happynoobing is right on what he said.

I once played 9dragons, biggest grindfest ever lol.

I guess this one is pretty cool. (i have friends who play/played it, and they have said good things about this game.)

I started GE in the beta, but switched to SotNW when GE went P2P (it went back F2P after a short while).

My opinion, it's not an outstanding game, but despite of the small flaws it's one of the few MMO's I really like playing. The MCC (Multi-Character Control) was something I had my doubts about, but the system works very well, it's fun and different from the other MMO's where you stick with 1 character. Graphics are AWESOME, unlike in SRO, the characters have fingers and facial expressions. Sword has the bestest soundtrack of all games I played.

It's a Korean MMO, and yes, it's a grindfest, but the game in general is, IMO, fun enough to keep on playing. (Be honest, it can't get much more boring than the grind in SRO).

If anyone's gonna play, I'm on Orpesia! :3 Carebear server, I know, but I'm not too fond of the pot prizes + pvp system.

Oh, and about the autoattack, it's not an AFK game. The autoattack is a mere help. You control 3 characters, how are you gonna target diff mobs and cast spells?
With autoattack, the characters target mobs themselves so you have your hands free for the skills etc. Knock down and death will automatically switch off autoattack, so don't think you can watch tv while your characters level themselves.

Gets boring after a while because the game levels you for you >.>

Guild Wars Nightfall ftw...

but only dungeons have enough mobs for continuous AOEing, other maps dont require that kind of focus, so basically it's autoattack, and then u watch over ur chars, use the occasional AOEs when u start getting mobbed or a miniboss comes along. even in dungeons the rooms can be cleared quite easily and it's basically running up and down the same rooms/corridors for more mobs :/

I thought this was just another name for Grando Espada or w.e, that game that lets you control 3 characters

SotNW is shit, it's a cheap copy of GE without the service. It' just like iSRO compared to kSRO. Believe me you don't wanna play it. Play GE instead.

It's not really a grind fest, only took my friend two weeks to reach lvl 100 (Veteran)
Once you get to vet you start going on fun dungeon raids and colony wars, try it out yourself.

Not at all, he got lvled up to 50 by guildies then used cash shop items to hit veteran. Although it was during the time of 20% xp boost >_<. You can still probably get veteran in less then a month.

No PvP system at all. But if you like MMO dungeon crawlers (?) go ahead, although your time would better be spent playing NWN or ES.
