My friend lives about 12 miles away so I think one day I'm gonan try to see how long it takes me to walk over there.
I need to practice walking long assed distances anyway.

Anyone ever walked a long assed distance have any idea about how long it shoudl take?

we usually do 10 miles or so an hour for track....so if you walked i guess it'd be twice as slow...2 hours?

I Google'd your question and found:

the fastest runners of the mile in my school is around 8 mins a mile i think so nearly 3 hours

I use to walk long distances, just under 2 miles would take me about 30mins..

In school we have to do a 2.4km run for fitness testing and my friend finished in 13 minutes. He left everyone behind.

I'd say about 3-4 hours.

hmmm...our oval in school is...400 meters..i usually finish 400meters in one minute..(jogging) 1mile=1200+ something meters.. that would be 3 rounds in our oval..so that would be like 3minutes per mile...hmmm...estimating, it would take 36 minutes for me to jog 12 miles..put it into scale that would be like triple when "im" walking... 108minutes or 1 hour 48minutes...at least to my speed. why do you ask anyway?! hahaha..

Your speed isnt consistent cuz u get tired.

back in high school I used to run 5 km in like 20 minute can't remember so 10m mile should take 1 hour running? maybe 1h30-2h walking?

i say it all depends on how fast you walk and what obstacles are in your way!

cause usually people wont check at what speed they walk, but when they run, and from running you can tell how fast you probably walk

I dunno...
My mom walks daily 1-2 hours yet she couldn't run five seconds to save her life.
My dad is a good runner, yet distance walking he'll be walking slow as sh1t huffin n puffin n sh1t.

There's a guy on my CSS team that's in the special forces, they made them walk/run/do whatever to get 80 miles in 24 hours? ...if I remember properly - he finished it in like a day. Walking shouldn't hinder your endurance, and you should be able to keep up 2-4 miles per hour, but if you ran or jogged it would surely slow you down somewhere during the move. He said they walked and it was rather easy, I called him a bitch and told him to sprint it next time.

hey, i walk 2 1/2 miles every night to the gym in my neighborhood (sobriety is pretty boring so i figured i might as well try and better myself) and it takes me a half hour. it is usually at a fast pace, but 10 miles should take you about 2 hours.

i do 14 kilometers in an hour when im jogging.

it's no high speed, so you could run for like 2 hours on 14 km/h

alot of people who stop using drug turn to workingout, wich is a good thing. If you look at trent reznor, he turned into hulk in a year, after giving up on his heroin /alcohol addiction.

hour and a half...but with those polska legs you should be done in like 15 min anyway amirite...

i suck at the mile and i can do it in 6:30.. so my guess would be around 2~2:30 hours.. maybe less if you jogged a lil bit of the way xDxDxD

i actually do the walk every night, but i do the gym 4 days a week.

I run it in 4:39 but thats slow compared to a few others in my grade that drop under 4:20s

I dont even do track...This was for gym...We have like a bunch of tests everyyear including long jump, pullups, v-sit reach, 1 mile run, and how many crunches in 1 min. and some other crap..

wow u guys are fast my best time was like 5.59, i remember cuz 6 min was the cut off line everyone who is slower than that had to do 100 push ups i barely made it

and 400 min under 1 min jogging? i remember i had to work pretty hard to break a min, but that was 3 yr ago
