Self-explanatory. Which one is your pick, and why?

I prefer the Zune, but I love iPodLinux...so I tend to want to stick with the older versions of the iPod. Because the new generation isn't quite fond of iPodLinux. I recently lost my 80gb ViPod, and I'm stuck with a 8gb nano3rdgen and a 30gb Zune. No iPodLinux for me. Discuss.

I have a video ipod my dad got me a couple years ago.
It plays music and sh1t fine. I don't need to be adding all this other bullsh1t on it, what would be the poitn and the screen is so damned small I'm not gonna be having fun playing a game on 2 inch screen thats some crazy assed sh1t.

i like the ipod more just because i have a cool itouch :] and ipod has much more different styles and options to it.

Zune looks cooler, and now when i see an Ipod idk it doesnt seem as cool anymore

Gen 2 zunes are beast. I have the first gen, and its 30gb is currently full so I'm really contemplating getting the new 80gb. And zune games are coming out soon, that look SO much better than any ipod game I've seen, and the ability to play them multiplayer using the inbuilt wi-fi =

Other reasons I love my zune. Is the dock.

-Get off the bus, walk down, take out headphones
-Place zune in dock
-Lie on bed
-Turn on tv
-Use zune remote to switch to tv output
-Control zune using zune remote with the menu's on my TV
-Watch videos on my tv, listen to music.

-BEAST.

ipod is more for music while zune is more for videos.

ipods last longer than zunes (battery life)

i'd still say zune cuz you can share music and stuff with friends instead of using a wire to pc like ipod.

Soda makes me want a Zune lol.
I don't know much about Zunes, but if what he's saying is true, then Zune's take the cake, no competition.

I've never seen a Zune in Holland anyway, so that makes me chose for the apple.

Zune are only available in the USA.

im sry, im is suburbs and i get rides to skool. i never went a day riding the bus lol, i always had/have rides

yo soda, since you got a zune and your a pro at it, i wanna ask you some questions.

- wat media player does zune work with? like itunes = ipod.

- on a normal day, how long does your zune last?

- any features zune has that ipod doesnt?

I don't have either. I'd be happy with a simple cheesy mp3 player. No need for anything mega expensive because it has a screen on it.

It's native player is Zune.

However, a mod has been released to allow you to sync on WMP (Real player, media monkey, winamp and most other media players), as well as itunes (however thats in beta).

On an average day. Is hard to say because it never actually runs out. I return home, put it in my dock where it charges. However, when I flew home at Xmas, I used it for an hour flight, the 3 hours in between, the 7 hour flight, and 2 hours driving afterwards, and I still managed to get an hour out of it in bed (jetlag ftl) before it died. Soo, I guess that would be 1+3+7+2+1=14 hours and thats not taking into account that some of that time was spent watching videos.
Thats the Zune 1st gen however, the 2nd get gets around double the battery time (24 hours I think).

Features.
-Custom backgrounds on the zune (select from photos that you have on your device).
-Radio tuner, not sure if this is on ipods :S
-Ability to send songs/images (zune to zune) using the wifi features
See who around you is using a zune and see what song they are listening to (in a busy place like a metro train for example)
-Wireless sync, once again using the wireless feature. No cables, just a click of a button, and your music is updated.
-Soon to come zune games, which can be played multiplayer (with people around you) over wifi.
-Zune pass, which allows you to download as much music as you want for 15$ a month (something that iTunes doesnt offer).

I assume if you have a 2 way audio cable, then yes, it has a headphone jack. AUX being an audio input hole, right?

Right now, I have an iPod video and an iPhone. I had a Nano in the past that my dad broke (which led to my getting the video), and I gave the first iPod I ever got - a silver Mini - to my sister sometime two years ago. I also have a 1GB iPod Shuffle that was a gift. I guess I've had every single product at one time or another, except from the iTouch.

But Soda makes me want a Zune so bad. More and more, I see my iPod as not-so-great as I originally thought it out to be. It doesn't even have a built in radio. You have to purchase a separate little add-on if you want to listen to any station. It's so dull and I would love to have a custom background instead of this plain white and black.

Guh.

Zunes sounds better...

But so do PS3's hope XBOX recovers from its hd-dvd instant obsoleteness
