that mouse is obsurd...is there really a point to you owning it? do you have a job that requires you to give large presentations? imo, the laser pointer is Farking retarded.you can get an awesome wireless mouse for about $20. unless you are actually gonna use all those functions (why would you control your living room media with it? use the damn remote), because a $100 mouse will not make you the coolest guy on the block!

If your using this setup for gaming then here is what i would recommend.
Oh and since you want a flashy keyboard, you cant get it in wireless, so thats 1 compromize you will have to make.

Here is what i recommend from Logitech:
G7 Laser Cordless Mouse
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/pc_gaming/mice_keyboards/devices/163&cl=us,en

G15 Keyboard *Wired With Flashy Lights*
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keybo ... 8&cl=us,en

Or

diNovo Edge * Wireless, not flashy lights, looks sleek, exspensive*
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/keybo ... 2&cl=us,en

Now some stuff from Razor:

Razer Lycosa™ *Flashy Lights, Wired*
http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main ... ucts_id=76

Razer DeathAdder
http://www.razerzone.com/index.php?main ... ucts_id=43

Ok So those are the mainsteam choices, but there awesome. In my opinion id go for the logitech set, but i guess whatever picks your fancy.

Hope it helped

Problem with the Lycosa and G15 is that the lighting sucks, and the keys rub off easily.

there's always that feeling of satisfaction outgaming people who spend that much on their keyboard and mouse when i'm using a 20$ mouse and keyboard set.

Actually if you play any FPS other than CS a good mouse and KB will always do better in skilled hands.

I hate using a wireless keyboard, makes things look nice but the practicality is eh. It urks me when I am in the middle of something and my keyboard or mouse batteries die.

I have the G15, and a pretty sweet graphic designing mouse (wired). Works perfectly, and looks nice.

trust me having no cords makes it a lot more maneuverable for me to do others things, it works good for me because i don't have something to put my keyboard on, that thing broke off :banghead: . And im one of those guys who hates untangling wires, for some their wires do not get tangled but for me its like there magnetic or something it just happens

To be honest, I never got what the big deal was.
What difference does a 200$ mouse have compared to a 20$ mouse, except a few extra buttons?

Is it more sensitive and easier to use?

That is so Farking useless ^^

I got my keyboard free with my pc, and I bought my mouse for 40 or 50 euro..Its a MS laser mouse (dunno the number or w/ ever)...And both are wired and they still work great...after several years ;)

Yeah that just gives more latency, i guess that matters if your are playing CS2 or some hardcore fps. But for other things it should be fine. Still like wired though^^

Well i remember when i used some standered microsoft mouse. It felt tacky and not very stable.
Now when i use my G5, its wieghted which does make the mouse more smoothy in my opinion, also it is moulded really nicely + im in love with the texture of it, its kind of like rubber, feels better then plain plast.
Also you have higher Dpi settings, which if you care about, really do make a difference.

=D
