anyone know the laws for pocket knifes in the USA, my states website sucks @$$ and its not listed on my county or city's. i need to know because im going to the flee market and most likely will buy a switch blade.
Well I have no clue about American laws and keeping knifes, being Canadian and all, but I'm guessing it's a nono.
Also you planing on shanking ?

It's a white weapon, as far as I know that's 100% legal.

Nah in the US, well at least in CA, certain pocket knives are allowed up to a certain length.
According to that website I think it's no more than 3" from handle to tip.
In most cases, as long as the knife is exposed, then it's fine. CA can have folding and fixed blade knives as long as they're exposed. As for concealed, only folding knives are allowed.

I think over 3 inches you need a license to carry a concealed weapon. A Leatherman or Swiss Army Knife, is generally okay to carry. No cop is going to stop you with one. I know in Michigan a blade under 3 inches is not even considered a weapon so chances it should be fine.

I have some rather long knives but no idea about any laws. I've never really worried about it. I have two blades that are over 6 inches and a few over 3. My friend even has a butterfly knife, so if there are laws against it we haven't been caught carrying them lol.

Butterfly knives are a pretty neat little thing.
Neighbor had one. I always had fun watching him try to be cool and flip it open and end up chunking his palm.

I want a pair of brass knuckles just to hang from my rear view mirror, nothin having to do w/ switch blades but, guess brass knuckles could be a weapon i guess

im using my rights, people need to start doing that. Theres actually a movement to "ban" guns from civilians in the States which would be completely taking our rights away.
PS: so basically im getting one so if the cops or some other government people come to my house and try to take my rights away ill have a way to kill them. (seriously)

Where did you hear that, i know some states are banning some guns. But they cant completely ban guns.
Are you really responsible enough to carry a weapons, talking like that i doubt it. If you don't announce your carrying a weapon when a officer approaches you, you can get in some serious shit.

what is the point of buying a switchblade...you will never actually use it...i don't even think you can buy a true switchblade anymore. i know they were banned in ny in the 80's. the only thing you can get now is a stiletto. besides, if you get into a fight...what are you gonna do...stab someone? i dont think so. and if you pull that thing on the wrong person...they are gonna take and use it on you. unless you're a collector, you don't need a f*ckin knife
