fraps problem and other stuff

ok right now i got a lvl 4x char and as soon as i get lvl 70 im gona start making videos and i have a slight problem with fraps when i dont run it i usualy get 12-13 fps but the second i hit record it goes down to 6 and makes it verry hard to pvp so im wondering is there anything i can do to fix that? also i would like to no how to mute the game sounds and use a sound file to replace them
right now im using

camsoft

virtual dub

and windows movie maker

lower your graphics to the lowest as it can go... other then that...and getting rid of background processes not much.

there maybe nothing you can do about it...I don't think your pc can handle silkroad client and fraps. my, frames is like 50 ~ 60 before I record and when I do it stays 50 ~ 60.

im trying out new recorders havent tried this one on sro yet ill test it tonight


OOHH AND WHEN I USE WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER i cant use the compression tool stated in stickied topic

With windows movie maker, you don't really need to compress the video. It don't come out too large regardless off time. I made a 9min video with advanced transactions and overlayed sound and so forth, and it didn't take up too much room at all.
