this was forwarded to me by my father. it's from the US Federal Trade Commission.
REMINDER....all cell phone numbers are being released to Telemarketing companies tomorrow and you will start to receive sales calls.
.....YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS
To prevent this, call the following number from your
cell phone:
888-382-1222.
It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a
minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call
from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You
cannot call from a different phone number.
HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS.
It takes about 20 seconds.
or, you can go to
https://www.donotcall.gov/ and register your number there. DEATH TO SALES CALLS!!

Was the email geniune? I visted
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx and theres no areas or links for cell phones. Any other articles on the net about this?
On that note, I've started recieving text message advertising for "stock tip offs"

If you still get calls while on the list, get the person\'s name, and the company name before you answer any questions, and when you\'re doing doing whatever they ask of you, tell them you\'re reporting them to the government for ignoring the \'do not call\' list. It\'s good for a few laughs.

Your Cellphone company offers it just tell them
they sign up there numbers every 5 yrs and starting plans
but only to the ppl that asked for it
