All my college friends said it had the worst ending ever and becuase it looking like it was made with a cam i didnt go see it

I loved the movie... It never went into the whole reason the monster attacked (It was a "baby", woke up and was scared so went on a little rampage) It dealt with it on a personal level, if a big ass monster attacked New York, THATS what it would be like. I could feel the love and the end was sad

people that hate the movie, dont know what world u been living in ( silkroad

OT : yea the ending did suck, but the way they filmed the movie gave it a new perspective and new style, new taste to the movie and this has been done been to a really old movie ( cant think of it ) but it was good movie just ending was sorta lame

When watching the actual movie the monster looks a bit different ofcourse, with the lighting and surroundings and all.
@ People dissapointed with the end: I can see why you are disapointed, but there will probably be a sequal, afaik. So the next part might shed more light on the post-Cloverfield situation.
Also, I think the ending did kind of fit with the movies' style.

One of the Best horror movies to come out. well done in every way, unlike all that gore shocker bullshit like Saw and Hostel and that lame shit. Cloverfield is a real horror movie (and fun as hell to see
high)
