I would want to know should i join?

If you like volleyball and you want to meet new people, this is a great opportunity. Sometimes new things are scary, but in a sport like that, everyone works together and I'm sure you'll meet the people soon enough and make new friends. And that's always a good thing, not? :)

And your older brother is there too, so if you're shy, which is understanding, you at least know someone.

Just think about it if you're not sure yet. But changing things doesn't always have to be bad. :)

Don't be scared and open up a little. This might change your shyness into something more useful

And never give a shit about what people might think of you.

I say go for it, give it a try, if you like
it and have a passion for the sport than continue
playing it, it might get you some $$$ someday if you
really like it that much to continue it, lol.

I'm not gay or anything, but why do people use "gay" as a BAD thing? It's like...
no, volleyball is pretty jewish imo"

What's a 'men's sport' is a mere opinion stated by someone, and it's definitely not a fact.

I honestly don't see why you guys post your thoughts about a sport while the topic maker asks for advice.

There are people who love karate, and there are people who love golfing. There are tons of things to choose from, and if someone likes something you dislike, like volleyball or whatever, does it make that person less worthy than if he liked the same stuff you liked?

Isn't it about fun in the first place? Or are several of you guys choosing a sport just to look cool?

Dont do it. Looking at your pros, it seems like a sport that you're only doing because of others, not because of you. Dont ever do something you dislike...you'll fail at it.

...and like some of us has said here, volleyball isnt considered a very "manly" sport. My highschool didnt even have a male volleyball team because it was so unpopular.
