wow this is a tough one...ever?...i don't know if i can answer this...
lets see...i have given up on studio albums because they are bullshit. half the time the band sounds nothing like their lp when they play live...not becauseof a diff version of the song, but because they truely suck and their producer did some heavy editing. i grew up in the 80's when big hair and arena rock were the shit. i would run home every tuesday to see adam curry (one of mtv's origional vj's...yes they used to ONLY play music videos)play the weeks exclusive video on mtv. the first concert i went to axl rose had to read the lyrics of patience off of a peice of looseleaf because he had only written it the night before...now i hear it on the classic rock station. i have favorites by genre and point of my life. would tupac and biggie count in this discussion? or is it limited to people that actually play instruments (even though i would consider turntables an instrument). i guess i could sum it up by the best bands i have ever seen live (i have been to well over 1000 live shows and concerts)

grateful dead (saw them 27 times with jerry, 11 without)



pink floyd (only saw once, but it was one of the most memorable experiences of my life)



dave mathews band (45 times. first time i saw them was for free in '91. they played behind chicken wire in a dive bar in west virginia. i smoked out with dave and boyd after the show)






this was a tough decision...there are so many great people that i could post. this is barely the tip of the iceburg...might have to add some more...this requires alot of thought and my boss keeps bugging me!

I've been wanting to get The Guy as a tattoo but I can't seem to find any good image and nobody is willing to draw it for me :]

I can tell you right now Finntroll is going to be an amazing show. Saw them live back in October last year at the key club and it was an amazingly awesome and unique show. Sad to say the maiden concert coming up is going to be my first maiden show I ever see.

don't be that guy...you know...the one that gets a tattoo of the band. thats like wearing the t-shirt of the band to the bands concert to show everyone that you are a fan.

for example, my senior year of high school, onyx was huge (i grew up in nyc). if you don't know them, they are a rap group that was popular in the early 90's (yes i am old). their biggest hit was "slam" anyway...a buddy of mine ran out and got the onyx logo (weird smiley face) on his bicept. just think about what kind of explination he has to give behind the meaning of that tattoo. on top of that it is all faded and looks like shit (i saw him at my 10 year reunion a few years ago). tattoos are permanent! make sure it means something. getting that tattoo is like getting your high school girlfriend's name tatted on your arm...cause you know that phaze of your life will last!

Yea Finntroll are nice :d And about the Maiden, first show for me as well, don't usually listen to them but some of my friends do so I'm going also.

You guys like Finntroll too huh? They're pretty good yeah.
