Schoolproject ~ could use some help

I'm doing a school project, and I combined it with my favorite sport. Here we do a certain project at school that can be about anything (almost of course). I decided on "How to organise a profitable rugby tournament" and put it in to practice with the local rugby club. However I can find diddly on organising tournaments, just a few websites with *some* pointers, hardly enough. And that's more the organising part of it, not the economical. So if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. I'd prefer it in dutch so I don't have to translate to much, but English will do just fine. (even German is an option to me).

i have never actually put together a sporting event, but i did own a production company in college that threw warehouse parties (raves). since yours is going to be legal, it should be alot easier...
first, you need a location. securing a location can be a huge pain in the ass, and can cost some serious $$$$$. since you are putting on a sporting event that will have spectators and will possibly be held on gov. property (park, etc.), you must check with state and city ordinances and fill out all required paperwork. some places even require permits for the right to assemble.
next, you need to figure out if you will be charging an admission to the event. some venues require profit sharing, unless you are paying a fee to use the property.
concessions are another big thing. does the venue hold the rights to concessions or do you. if you have ever been to any type of event, we all know that concessions are a huge cash cow!
now that you hacve the venue and the date squared away, you need to find teams that are willing to play. are you offering cash prizes for top placing teams? what is the incentive for teams to play?
finally...advertise. what is your advertising budget? will you be doing radio commercials? word-of-mouth? full color glossy fliers? or simple one color photocopies?

Nee ik heb hulp nodig bij het opzetten van de economische kant van het toernooi, dus de kosten, what ik moet kopen waar ik allemaal rekening mee moet houden etc.

Nee ik heb hulp nodig bij het opzetten van de economische kant van het toernooi, dus de kosten, what ik moet kopen waar ik allemaal rekening mee moet houden etc.

Als je al bij een vereniging zit kan je eventueel vragen of je balans en/of resultatenrekening in mag kijken van afgelopen seizoen. Zie je de posten die hun erop hebben en kan je zelf wel kijken of je daar rekening mee moet houden op een toernooi. Je kan natuurlijk ook rondvragen in je vereniging want die zal vast ook wel eens een toernooi hebben georganiseerd.
