BBC News Reports on Gold Buying!

Hopefully this hasn't been posted already, but I found an interesting article on the BBC regarding Gold buying in Online Games.
It doesn't mention Joymax or SRO at all (hence why I didn't put it in GD!) but I guess the reason for that is it only mentions companies that are trying to stop it!
I don't know what the state of Gold buying is like in other games, so I can't really comment, but I thought some people may like to have a read, particularly where the monetary figures are concerned.

very interesting. Thx for the post however i wish there was a SRO section to just put things in perspective but wow 2.6 million. But WoW is a crack whore when it comes to online games so theres no telling how much of it came from that

No probs.
I felt it fell somewhere between OTL and GD, but opted for OTL in the end. If the Mods think differently then I'm sure they'll let me know.
When you look at those figures you can see why these Gold selling companies don't give in easy!
Just to be clear, however, that doesn't mean I condone what they do.
To them it means Business and Profit.
To me it means Rome - Crowded

I know gold farmers are in the news a lot. Mostly reporting how they work, note though. The ones im talking about are actual people working for like 5 cent.
