The FARC or Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) have been a problem in Colombia for decades since their formation in 1964. What do you guys think of the FARC and this protest:

Obviously Farc is bad, one of the reasons so many countries in south/central america are so poor and unstable is because of groups throughout history, like farc, that rise against the gov't and do w/e the fk they want.

Well, I have left/marxist tendencies, and I'm always interested in revolutionary groups. BUt, when they started bombing civilian buses and kidnapping innocent civilians, I started to have a problem with them.

Capitalism, communism, marxism, democracy...they're all fun to talk about and theorize about and plan utopias around. When it comes down to actually doing something, everyone's the exact same type of selfish asshole.

24 November 2006: I'm tired, tired of the FARC, tired of people and tired of living in this commune. I'm fed up of never having anything of my own. All of this would have a purpose if you knew what you were fighting for. I don't believe in it any more. What sort of rebel movement is this?
