Hello all,
I maybe want to buy this game, but I need som opinion.
How are the graphics(they look nice on youtube/stage"6)
Wats up with lv 20, does it take long, can you get al lot of skils?
How is the grinding,quests?
Wat are those movies with 6people against 6people in som minimap ??something like that.
Is the map big, compared to wow and sro.
Do you need to buy, Guild wars, to be able to play the xpansions?
And some review on gameplay etc would be very helpful, I looked at the other review here but it wasnt much.. ty forward no flaming etc please:)

I think they're great, nicely detailed and each area is different.
GW doesn't need a really strong computer either, my previous computer was a fossile and GW ran smooth.

GW is a skillbased game. If your skills suck, you suck. The level isn't too important, and it's fairly easy to get to 20. Getting the right set of skills for the right situation is where the challenge lies.
How is the grinding,quests?
GW isn't a grind game. Unlike SRO, you don't have to grind and farm for months. You get enough exp and unlock skills via the quests and missions, which are all very diverse and fun to play.
Wat are those movies with 6people against 6people in som minimap ??
Could be PvP, Guild Battles, Hero Battles, Hall of Heroes etc etc. If you're not much of a PvE player, Guild Wars offers alot of oppurtunities for the PvP player. A PvP character is standard lvl 20, you can unlock the skills by getting faction after you win a battle.
Is the map big, compared to wow and sro.
I'm not familiar with WoW, but the map is huge. Each campaign comes with its own enormous continent.
Do you need to buy, Guild wars, to be able to play the xpansions?
There's one expansion, Eye of the North, which requires at least one of the Guild Wars campaigns (Prophecies, Factions and/or Nightfall). Each campaign has its own unique setting, quests, missions, armor, weapons, monsters, pets and more.
And some review on gameplay etc would be very helpful, I looked at the other review here but it wasnt much.. ty forward no flaming etc please:)
If I gotta tell you about the gameplay I could talk for hours.
Google is your bestest fwiend for this one. :3

Yes. If you have, let's say, Prophecies and later get Factions, you can add the Factions code to your excisting account, so you'll unlock access to the continent of Factions.
If you want to play EotN you need at least one GW campaign.

I left GW a while back because the addition of heroes basically killed grouping with other players. It pretty much turned into an online single-player game. With so many different campaigns, people are so spread out you'd be lucky to find people to team with anyway. Your best bet at making huge amounts of money balances on how lucky you are. Finding things like rare dyes and weapons, or farming ectoplasm and obsidian shards, etc. Most of the time you'll probably feel broke since you have to craft armor with separate components on top of the fee to create the item. Some sets run over 15 platinum without runes, just hope you're good at saving money when you start out.
My guild was active, but they were all about PvP and skills. Somewhere down the line I missed a ton of new ones as I went thru campaigns, and eventually went broke and bored finding them. Even with the skills I had which worked no problem for me in Prophecies and PvE, they weren't enough. By the time I quit I had at least 300 skills on my Warrior, most of them useless unless you used them in specific situations. If you play you'll quickly find that classes don't really mean much, people can use their secondary as their primary and surprise you/piss you off. Elementalists using mostly Monk smiting skills, or Warriors using mostly Dervish skills, Assassins using Necromancer skills, etc.
For me, Guild Wars was best before Factions was released. I had a good Warrior, decent armor, and decent skills. New campaigns came along and all that meant pretty much nothing. The most fun I had after that was beating the new campaigns and teaming with what was left of the players without heroes. After that I couldn't really pick it back up.

IIRC Nightfall levels the fastest, but Prophecies is still the most fun to play IMO

If you get Prophecies or Factions you would be screwing yourself as far as NPC teammates are concerned. Nightfall has customizable, levelable heroes you can use in your teams pretty much anywhere. Standard NPC teammates are locked at a level depending on your location, and you can't customize their skills, weapons, and armor. Since these Hero NPC's are so much better, you can see why people would prefer to make their own custom team rather than team with random players. Also, many of the skills in Nightfall are copies of those in Prophecies and Factions, on top of the new ones the campaign offers. You would be better off starting with Nightfall.

The latter, no such thing as a monthly fee.

i love gw, seriously i like it a lot its just...
i was hoping id be partying with ppl and shizz! And pvp is so much fun!
but as soon as i noticed.... I just couldnt find a good guild..couldnt find a good comunity..couldnt find ppl wot party with.. Nothing..
Its like those songs where they sing they're surrounded by 106540 ppl and still feel lonely xD
I talked, i tryed to find ppl but meh nothing..
Ofc i found a guild ..a small and inactive one lol.
If i could find a guild like on sro, hell id even buy Factions (only have nightfall) and play gw.
I really like its way, cant wait for GW 2

EDIT: Btw, dude... I play a strategy game, its simple but very very complex..
Theres this kind of PvP on GW where u like, play chess live but u dont have the functions nor the places of each hero defined in ur party...
Its crazy!
Its intense!
Its fun!

lol good old times .... When The Last Pride was best guild , owning gvg and stuff ... Really great times ....
I suggest you to take Prophecies bcoz there are alot of importmant basic skills ....
and best campaning IMO ...

guys, my friend keeps telling me bla bla bla, that you need to have Guildwars, not prophecies, factions or nightfall. Guildwars in order to have eye of the north, that isnt true right? >.>

Guild Wars Prophecies (First GW game, also known as just Guild Wars)
Guild Wars Factions
Guild Wars Nightfall
Need at least one of these to be able to play Eye of the North.

Factions has the Kurzick/Luxon battles going on, I really liked that about Factions, but the continent was somewhat dissapointing IMO.
Prophecies and EotN are my favorite GW games.
Best way to blend in with the community is via Guild/Alliance. Teaming up with other people during missions or battles is a nice way to get to know people aswell.
