I can do very basic translation and give you the big idea if it's not hard. I've got very limited Chinese character reading abilities.

Thanks for all the replies! And thanks to the people who've PMed me so far.

It's proving useful, but to speed up the process I think I will take hemagoku's suggestion and post the texts here. Some discussion may help if there are difficult bits to translate.

These are basically quotes from a chinese forum. They are discussing an error we've been encountering with an application, which we've been unable to resolve to due a lack of (accurate) information. That evil little babelfish...!

Okay, here's the first one. :3

GameDB报错的解决方法.
问题:
启动服务端时GameDB会报错,然后自动退出.
原因分析:
当启动到GameInfo时就会自动关闭GameDB,经多次分析得出结论是程序配置数据库权限不够造成的.
解决方法:
进入你安装mssql数据库所在位置,进入子目录找到DATA文件夹右键属性,然后选择"安全"
标签,添加"everyone"用户,权限为全权,确定关闭启动服务端.

如果没有安全这个标签请选择资源管理器的"工具"---"文件夹选项"---"查看"---去掉"使用简单文件共享"

关于GameDB启动报错的问题~~~
今天因为想测试些东西所以反复删出了数据库又装~~~
在启动游戏程序的时候GameDB报错了（以前没有报过错的）后来一看数据库被删了还没装~~~
装上后就没有在报错了``所以大家报错的请仔细检查一下数据库是不是安装错误！！！
要是数据库建立到导入都是正确的话GameDB也初始化过``那应该不会报错的```仔细检查一下
或者从新认真的装一次```还有一个问题就是看看自己的服务管理器是不是启动了的！！
我的系统是XP，正版盗版都没报错~~~CPU是AMD 3600+ 双核~~

可以确定不是硬件的问题了，估计问题还在数据库身上，不过我又没遇见慧慧所说的那些问题，真是奇怪！

mssql也正常启动了，数据库导入也正常。郁闷~

There's one more piece of information I need, that will hopefully prove to be the last.

下载好以后，我们需要修改的是____diem.exe文件，因为客户端连接到服务端的必要IP设置就在这个文件里

我们用UltraEdit-32 来实现。用UE打开____diem.exe文件后，使用Ctrl+F组合键查找68 1C 0C 00 00 68

后面应该是这样

68 1C 0C 00 00 68 FA 00 00 00 68 84 00 00 00 68 55 00 00 00 68 DA 00 00 00

后面的字串有4个68开头的 我们只需要修改68后面的每一个字串，68后面对应的就是IP地址中的其中一个数字，别急，不是直接用数字打上去，而是把数字转换成16进制。

也许大家又要问“怎么转换呢？”大家用的操作系统都附带一个很好用的软件，计算器，打开计算器，点选科学型，

假设你的服务器ip是211.111.112.123. 211转换成16进制就是D3。111转换成16进制就是6F。112转换成16进制就是70。123转换成16进制就是7B，要注意的是，其中的IP地址是相反的

比如：211.111.112.123 就应该先填 123 再112 后111 再后211，明白了这个道理后，我们就开始修改了

修改后得到

68 1C 0C 00 00 68 7B 00 00 00 68 70 00 00 00 68 6F 00 00 00 68 D3 00 00 00

好了 IP地址就修改好了,保存。用这个文件 就可以连接到自己的服务器了

最后提醒一下,机器不是很好的就不用试了,机可不好玩哦。。。
