A day alone with your valentine, that's all that's needed

Rainigul's got it right. As long as you make your girl happy, and she makes you happy, I really doubt the location will matter that much. From an expensive dinner to movies, I think most girls (if they truly like you) will say that spending time with you is what's most important and most meaningful to them.
And as cliche as it is, a dozen roses
really wouldn't hurt. If it were me, though, I'd skip the chocolate. Be creative!

As said, time with a loved one. Meal in a fancy restaurant, a home cooked meal at home?
As for roses. Don't get me started

I wanted to buy 3, but could only buy 10, 1 snapped, eneded up with 9. Can't imagine what trying to buy 12 is like >_>

Well, for one, I don't like it because it's a Christian holiday

and another thing, like almost all holidays, it's a corporate money-making scheme. Even when I'm in a relationship, I hate buying stuff "special" for my gf on this one day. I don't believe that objects and candy or a nice card can adequately express how you feel about someone. Furthermore, I think it quite curious that we celebrate a holiday where people are "allowed" or "expected" to "express their love for one another on this special day". Isn't every day with the one you love special? Why choose one day in particular to show the one you love how special they are to you? I just think it's all crap.

Perfect valentines for me would just be going down to town and have coffee during the day,
later a light evening dinner followed by a movie at someones house in a comfy couch <3

I´d say:
Have a nice day, romantic, and all that stuff like a nice walk through nature,
Give her some flowers and chocolate.
And on request, cook us both a lovely dinner (or else we'd go out)
Then maybe a movie, and then some hot love making...
*Sigh*
Valentines day sucks...
jk, jk...
But I would actually do what she would like to do. make it HER day, not mine. But if it was in my hands, it would be written above..
