Is anyone watching the US stocks drop like flies? I heard one kid lost his life savings from the significant faltering of our economy...is everyone else going down with us too?

Yea, my friend in China said they're very dependent on the US as well with trades and whatnot. Another buddy from France just contacted me and he's complaining about how we're ruining him and he wants me to pay him $5,000 USD for reparations

(as a joke)

Glad I don't play the stock market. And to think, Bush wanted to privatize social security and have it be tied to the stock market. Hmmm, glad that didn't work out.

Did you know what the reason was for the stocks to drop like mad??
This month. It is proven that January is the most depressing month of the year, with in it's center of all depression is on the birthday of three great SRF'ers.
Aiyas.
Posei.
Icealya.
Aaaargh, Dudes, we bring bad luck!!
And I'm loving it... Having luck over the backs of other people makes me so happy inside.
I love bringing other people bad luck, just so that I look better, and a bit for the attention.. Or maybe it is just that I'm so used to insult people, since I was a child that I am just the reason depression excists, since 21 January 1992, round 4 pm, Depression for others was born.

Well of course it was Martin Luther King day so we all decided to take the day off and ruin the world's economy...
I suggest to start buying stocks before they officially call it a recession...

Yeah invest in stocks that will be worth nothing eventually. At the rate it's going we'll end up going broke because our money is being inflated so much.

Well, in some circles I am seen as a bad omen.
Anywho, I wonder just how many rates the Feds are going to cut to try and fix this problem.

It's a global economy crash. If this keeps up, it could send the entire world into a depression.

It has nothing to do with the US. I mean, it does, but it isn't JUST the US stock market that's crashing, everyone things the world revolves around the US, but it doesn't. Globally, the stockmarket is just crashing, I don't know why, but it is.

That's why it's crashing. People's investments are becoming worthless because of inflation. And it's getting worse.

Two days ago the AEX closed with

An economic stimulus package agreement reached:
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/24/ ... index.htmlWASHINGTON - Democratic and Republican congressional leaders reached a tentative deal Thursday on tax rebates of $300 to $1,200 per family and business tax cuts to jolt the slumping economy.
Pelosi, D-Calif., agreed to drop increases in food stamp and unemployment benefits during a Wednesday meeting in exchange for gaining rebates of at least $300 for almost everyone earning a paycheck, including low-income earners who make too little to pay income taxes.
Families with children would receive an additional $300 per child, subject to an overall cap of perhaps $1,200, according to a senior House aide who outlined the deal on condition of anonymity in advance of formal adoption of the whole package. Rebates would go to people earning below a certain income cap, likely individuals earning $75,000 or less and couples with incomes of $150,000 or less.
Wow, that's great
