In private servers there's no lag as i know
But, is it really enjoyable?

Depends on how you want to play, and if you have buddies to play with.

If you want insta. 70 and everything handed to you on a silver platter, choose WoW-nights.

It all depends. I myself, am on WoW-nights and have loads of fun.

You know what's good? buy the real game, that's the one that's good. If u plan on private servers, ur not playing WoW, but some weird altered version.

That's true in 99.9% of the cases..

In all cases sadly, they always alter something.

Yup, Priam has it 100% right, either pay for it and enjoy it or don't play.

I tried about 5 of the more popular WoW private servers.

The things I noticed:

Negative:

Hunter class was badly bugged on most of them

Pets were heavily bugged on all of them

Shaman class was heavily bugged on some of them

In half of the servers the swimming didn't work but instead you walked on the bottom of the river / lake / whatever

Frequent server crashes (about every 1-3 hours or so) with about 5-25 minutes downtime in between the resets

Community sucked imo

Talent trees badly bugged

Most classes have a few skills that don't work

Buggy ranged attacks

Longer mob respawn rates

Positive:

Free (durr)

No lag at all

Good Gm support

Classes besides hunter and shaman worked pretty well

Working quests, professions, auction house, instances etc

My personal advice: buy it, it's worth it. I know I'm going to.

Private servers suck, you might as well play WoW

I had fun on WoW-Nights, instant level 70 FTW

i played on wowscape's blizzlike server and it was fun, they have a instant 70,fast, and blizzlike.

i like playing at private servers.

Yup, cause it's immensely cool and satisfying to miss the first 50% of the game, and get an instant 70. After that, raiding for epics? FKNO! ima hack them. Instant legendary for the win. Hmm what to do now... I know! create new items! *cheer* *cheer*
