What does the "56k warning" mean?

I hear it alot on this forum, but I didn't get it.
So... what does it mean?

means if you have 56k dial-up interent not to open a thread since it has alot of pictures

56K
Stands for modems that use 56Kbps. Like, the slowest ones.
It's a warning that the thread your about to open is heavy on images, or videos, or things like that.
So, for someone using a 56kbps modem, it would be killer. Thus why they say (56kbps warning/killer)
